Is it that hard not to be complete muntshoes?

I directed a friend to this site today, talking about how the Browncoats here were good people and that it was a nice place.

Then about fifteen minutes later he tells me that he stumbled across a huge "Serenity" spoiler in the comments section for something in the Blue Sun Room. He was understandably pissed. Now I feel bad that I directed him to Fireflyfans.net, because apparently not everyone is polite enough around here to keep their goddamn mouths shut.

Not everyone has had the opportunity to see the screenings, either by circumstance or choice. If I was the one who had read the spoiler I would have been even more upset than I am already. If you want to talk about the movie, could you please do it in posts that are clearly marked or in private messages? I mean, is it really that hard to watch what you say, people? Jeez.

Although I feel for your friend, I think that a slip up or two isn't really anything to base a general rule on.

I come here multiple times a day and have not run across even one spoiler. And all I've done is avoid threads with "*SPOILER*" in the title. People here seem to know the rules (for the most part at least).

I think that I must also point out that I've heard that someone on the offical board posted a thread with *SPOILER* in the title. Unfortunately, the spoiler was as well in the title. So much for the warning, eh?

So, basically, chill out. You might also want to take some anger control classes.

Yeah, I don't really know what a muntshoe is.

If I knew what a muntshoe was, perhaps I could not be one...that is if I'm even being one in the first place. Hard to tell since that's not even a real word. I get the "shoe" part, but not the "munt", unless perhaps you're referring to the Munt Tower in Amsterdam. There are large stores near that tower, and perhaps you can buy shoes in them. Is that what you're referring to?

Yeah, because being relatively composed demonstrates deep-seated anger issues. Come on, don't be so condescending.

Obviously, if you are not posting spoilers, then you are not the kind of people I was referring to, are you?

And I apologize for using a made-up insult. Next time I'll use a well-known vulgarity, that way I'll have a better chance of offending someone and you won't have to bother yourselves with trying to be clever.

Sorry I didn't understand your fake word...but their's no need for you to get pissy about it. Perhaps I "need to get a nurse that speaks fluent moron" to translate for me (Not calling you a moron...just recognizing the Dr. Cox quote from your signature.)

Hey, buddy, you're the one that started an entire thread to state how pissed off you and your buddy were. I mean, one person (provably so far) makes a mistake and you start an entire thread b/c of this problem? Come on.

Not to mention, this thread regards a "problem" that isn't even remotely an actual issue on this board.

You might want to look into seeing if something is actually a problem before creating a thread to spout off about it.

"trying to be clever."

Who's being condescending now?

EDIT: You know, by your reply, you do realize that you are kinda proving my point, right?

Firstly, here's an idea: why don't you stop trying to antagonize me? Secondly, the problem with your plan is that I'd have to go searching for spoilers, which, you know, I don't want to do, since I haven't seen the movie.

Meanwhile, I was sitting here saying ... 'gotta be slang ... whose slang is it? Can you make an adjective or a verb?

Damn muntshoozian nimrods!
I'll muntshoe you so far, yer mama gets a headache!
Or as Jan Brady would whine, "Muntshoe Muntshoe Muntshoe".

I can understand being pissed about your friend's first experience being a disappointment. I am guilty of firing off a erm ... fiery post now and again.

Let's not reduce this to a flame war, folks. Mellow and pass out the Browncoat Kool Aid.

You know what? I like puppies. They're cute and funny.
How about you all? How do you feel about puppies?
Oh, and I'm sorry that your friend got spoiled. However, I still like puppies.

In addition to being cute, puppies are also furry! Which could be what ups the cute factor.

I love furry, fluffy puppies!!

On the spoiler issue, you could just do what I do and avoid pretty much anything that could possibly have to do with the movie other than the date. Unfortunately slips happen, and one persons spoiler is another persons... un-spoiler. Can't think of another word.

Puppies!!
