Keep the Shiny side up

I don't know if this is a sign, or what, but this is the best year for fireflies in our back yard I can remember in the 15 years we've lived here in Northern Virginia. They are just going crazy out in our back yard. Dozens flash at a time. Looks like fireworks. Madame Geezer is entranced. I think it's pretty cool too. Hope this is a good omen for the BDM.

Lots of Fireflies up here in Upstate New York. But we've always have had lots of fireflies. But maybe it is a sign. Yes, a sign. But I already know that Serenity is going to be the hit of the year.

i saw my first firefly in about 6 years on thursday, june 23...the same day as my first serenity screening.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Know what you mean Geezer. We have had dozens of them in our backyard for the past three weeks or so. The wife and I sit on the deck every night and watch them. I always wanted to believe their appearance (as we really hadn't had any the past couple of years) was a good omen of sorts, but never said as much out loud. My wife likes Firefly, but not to the extent I do. She looked over at me this past Friday night and said "All these fireflies must be some sort of sign, don't you think? I think the movie will be a huge success and the future will be bright for Serenity."

It gave me the warm & fuzzies to hear her say it. Ever since we saw the BDM my wife has become more of a Firefly fan than I thought possible.

I watch those fireflies in the backyard now with a little smile on my face now.
