My wife and I were so impressed by the variety of prizes the SF Browncoats have amassed to raise money for Equality Now at San Diego ComicCon that she suggested I record my filk "The Ballad of Joss" (lyrics available in the Blue Sun Room) and donate copies to the effort.

So that's what I did. (I'm listening to it on my 'puter right now. *grin*) I'm no Sonny Rhodes, but I think it turned out pretty shiny, with wailing fiddle, chunky mandola, angry folksingin', bluesy guitar-pickin', and some very spirited hootin' and hollerin'.

So in case the chance of winning clothing that has touched Morena Baccarin's flesh, or having Jewel Staite record a special voicemail message, or even having an email addy at specialhell.com isn't enough for you to contribute, you also have a chance at a free CD of "The Ballad of Joss." So get over there and contribute to Joss's favorite charity: http://www.sfbrowncoats.com/events/comiccon2005/charity/prizes/

For the rest of you, I'll most likely put the song up on MP3 at my band's site ( www.BedlamBards.com) sometime after the con. I'll let you know when it happens.

"You can't take my show from me,
Because I've got the DVD."

Cedric -
Your website rocks! i wanted you to know that I'm putting together a Tribute CD of music recorded by fans about Joss, the BDH's, the show, etc., and I'll be handing copies to him and the BDH's at DragonCon in Atlanta. I wanted to know if you wanted this recording included on there.

If that interferes with your plans to use it for fundraising, or if you want to save it for some other kind of distribution, that's totally cool, just wanted to check.

Now we're finishing this deal, and then maybe we'll come back for those morons who got themselves caught. You can't change that by getting all... bendy...

Glad you liked our site. It's what happens when a professional writer and a professional graphic artist decide to form a band. :-)

So--yeah, we'd be happy to have "The Ballad of Joss" on your compilation. I do ask that you include our web addresses somewhere on the packaging: www.BedlamBards.com and www.TheFluteCart.com.

Also, to avoid any legal complications, we're not putting this song on any album that we sell for profit.

Oh, and I'd like a copy of the compilation. :-)

Email me privately at fithelere@aol.com, and we can work out the details.
