Well..more Serenity in Empire, but the above title is more catchy.
In the August issue of Empire (a monthly film magazine in Australia) the BDM is briefly mentioned in their "On the Radar"section. Below a small pic of 4 of our BDH in hover-car is writen:
"Buffy creator Joss Whedon goes inter-galactic on his feature film directorial debut. Expect much ass kicking, but none of it by a blonde high school student. Shame, that. ETA November 10".
I'm hoping the ETA date is wrong.

It cannot have escaped our regular readers that we're rather looking forward to a film called Serenity this year. Based on Joss "Buffy and Angel" Whedon's unjustly cancelled sci-fi series 'Firefly', the film brings Captain Mal Reynolds and his crew to the big screen, in the hope that the series' huge DVD audience will find them there. And the good news today is that Serenity will receive its world premiere right here in the UK, at the Edinburgh Film Festival.

Now it's common knowledge that Joss Whedon is something of an Anglophile, but this is the first real sign that his favour extends north of the border. It also reflects the fact that the Edinburgh Film Festival has been growing and attracting more high-profile names.

The film's world premiere will be taking place on Monday August 22, and the good news is that tickets are on sale to the general public. Joss himself is scheduled to come over, and most of the cast should be in attendance. Check here for further details.

Needless to say, Empire is going to be all over this film like a rash, so do check back for further news as the release date approaches…

they're big fans of whedon over there i do recall. i remember reading their review of firefly dvd and they loved it. was among their 100 must have dvds.
