Quote from the story, my emphasis:

Quote:

There is, perhaps, a grassroots lesson for the chilly post-9/11 world and its Mals: Fox could yank an off-centre series, but it couldn't make it lie down and die. The loyal fans, the self-styled Browncoats, wouldn't allow it. They launched websites. They bought a million copies of the DVD. Fillion went to a sci-fi convention in London, and Firefly DVDs sold out, even though the show had never aired there.

A million? Did we know it was that high? Last official figure I heard (a long time ago) was 200,000.

I've emailed the reporter to ask where she got that figure, 'cause if it's really a million... whoa. At $30 each, that's like thirty million dollars. Whoa.

Untrue. We got it over here on the Sci-Fi Channel, in the correct order quite some time before the UK DVD release.

200,000 mark was over a year and half ago. That is the second article that claims Firefly has sold a million. I think it might be true.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.
