Like the title says there's gonna be a Texas wide shindig August 5-7 in Austin.

BTW, even though I have a prior gig and can't make it to the Texas Shindig

, I'm going to try to have some minidiscs of "The Ballad of Joss" available there. My band will be giving them to generous Browncoats who contribute to our Dragon*Con travel fund.

Friday ~ Aug. 5
- Check in, meet&greet @ hotel
- raffle for prizes?
- Dinner (something western? BBQ?)
- Spiderhouse shenanigans,
- Hotel, dancing til all hours & other forms of ruckus

Saturday ~ Aug. 6
- Noon: Lunch (Din Ho?)
- Swimming, go-carts, paddleboats, or some other outdoor activity
- 6ish: Dave & Busters: Dinner, fun games
- Back to the suite for Firefly

Sunday ~ Aug. 7
- Brunch/Lunch
- Hand out raffle prizes
- Check-out

Cedric's "blushing bride" here. okay I haven't blushed in quite a while.. I hope to make it to the Spiderhouse stuff on friday and then catch up with ya'll on Saturday at the China Star.
Looking forward to it as my husband leaves me alone and forlorn in Texas while he scampers to washington for a month.
I have much Firefly trivia stowed away and I'm storehouse of all kinds of knowledge....
and I will have a supply of "ballad of Joss" cd's!

ESTIMATED COSTS:

Shirts, other goodies = $1.50 - $36 (depending on item)

Hotel = If booked under Browncoat room block $79 per night. If not, call hotel for pricing.

Spiderhouse = personal consumption of food and beverages. ~ $20.

China Star = $8 buffet all day long

Dave & Busters = $6 - $30 depending on what is ordered. Also need to chip in a few bucks to cover the room rental cost. Cost does not include alcohol.

Dave & Busters game card = safe estimate $30, but depends on how much a person wants to play.

Booze = depends on how much and what you drink!
***Help defer cost from organizers pocket = {Suggested}$5 (BBQ dinner, hotel room rental, breakfasts, etc....)***
