Ever wonder what we are missing out on because of a decision made by some TV executive.

Recently, four unaired pilots to series that will never be made have appeared online and due to some strange coincidence they all have a small connection to Firefly.

Global Frequency, Lost In Space and NYPD 2069 all feature special effects from Zoic Studios the company that did the effects for Firefly/Serenity and Battlestar Galactica.

Global Frequency.

Lost In Space.

NYPD 2069.

And Still Life features Morena Baccarin.

Still Life.

Check them out while you still can.

Available through Bittorrent, Emule and other reliable P2P networks near you.

Had no idea Zoic worked on Global Frequency. Even more reason for a DVD release with proper credits...

I think the conspiracy somehow involved The WB. I one year they canceled Angel and let Global Frequency and Lost in Space slip through there fingers, what where they thinking?

The pilots for Global Frequency and Lost in Space are not perfect but they both had it where it counted, both have great characters are very well written in terms of character interaction and both casts work together incredibly well.

The only real issue I had with Global Frequency is that for a pilot it was probably not quite mainstream enough, but if they had shot a second pilot that was more main stream there is no way that it wouldn't have found an audience.

As for Lost in Space I thought this was a great pilot, but it would have been hard to tell how well the series would have gone without seeing a second episode. It could have done with a cliff hanger ending. At very least they could have tuned it into a mini-series to gauge people’s reaction to the concept. Stupid WB.

What would be good is if The WB released a DVD with the pilots to Global Frequency, Lost In Space and Dark Shadows on it. I'm still looking for Dark Shadows hopefully somebody will put it online as well. Considering The WB's recent track record it will probably be good as well.

WB gave up all rights to Global Frequency and allowed the TV producers and Warren Ellis (creator and author of the comics) to shop it to various channels.

So with luck some channel will come to its senses.

I came across Global Frequency a few weeks back, from a different thread. I found it on a torrent site, and liked it. The storyline had promise, and of course the effects were great!

I didn't even know about Lost in Space or NYPD 2069, and wasn't sure Still Life would EVER see the light of day, in any form. I still can't find NYPD, but I'll keep looking. I have the other two now, and plan to watch them this weekend sometime.
