Sorry to all if this is a silly question - but I can't see any pics or clips or word of Shepherd Book in the Serenity movie - is he not in it??

About the pic you mentioned, that's the "crew". Notice Inara's not in it either.

Of course, the real reason is much too prosaic. That's the group that happened to be on the set the day they decided to take a picture. The date was July 12, 2004. Two cakes were delivered on set from Browncoat fans. And there were Browncoats hiding in the Jurasic Park bushes just outside. Ah, the memories.

At Wondercon (I believe) Joss said something about one member of the original nine not playing too big of a part. I had originally thought it would be Inara, but the more of the movie I see (through the various trailers) I'm beginning to think that Book plays the minor role. Just an observation ^_^
