I am so very sad. I will not be able to make it to Dragon Con this year. I want to go soooo bad but the money is not with me. I just want to know that I am not the ONLY truely sad person here. Most of my friends are going so I am going to have to not only miss it but here about how much I suck for not going. PLEASE someone tell me that I am not alone.

You are definitely not alone. :(

I don't live within any reasonable distance of anything Firefly related, with the exception of the NC BDM premiere party. I am dying to go somewhere and see the dig damn heroes. :(

Definitely not alone. Never made it to a con nor a shindig yet!

We're with you. Dragon Con is the same weekend as a reunion I go to EVERY year. It's something I look forward to all year, but it's in the other direction.

If only I could be in two places at once.

I can affoard to attend events on the west coast like Comicon but events on the east coast are too expensive for my love of Firefly to cause me to plunk down the cash for the airfare. Sooo, I won't be at Dragoncon either

Not alone, unfortunately! I live in South Florida and the chances of my wife and I being able to afford it are unrealistic. We did get to see the screening in Tampa on July 23, but otherwise feel like we're the only Browncoats in town!

A minor point: Atlanta, Georgia is not on the east coast.

It's mostly a money thing. If I could, I'd take a Friday off, drive down, stay overnight a ways out and drive in to Atlanta for Saturday, crash an hour's drive out, then drive home to Delaware late on Sunday.
