Can I just say that when I left Carol's (at just gone 8pm) I had had absolutely NO alcohol whatsoever!

I much prefer the image of DrEvil flying over Hertfordshire, hie precious cargo wrapped in a blanket (like the stork in Dumbo!) and carefully leaving the eggs under a bush...

I kept staring at my computer hoping a mgaical video stream would appear...no such luck.

The fire across from my parent's house was fun. The firemen and policemen talked to Lucky (my little cousin) and gave him a fake badge. When the firemen left, he asked us if he could be a fireman. It was so cute. I told him my cousin Sean is a fireman. If he wanted, he could be one too.

I think it's a combination of hangovers, having talked each other out over 2 days and the fatwah that was issued on three different people over who ate the last egg and who drank the last gulp of vodka.

I also provided all the entertainment for my sister's party, what with dance mats, karaoke, darts and shooting games. You can never be too old for toys.

Oooo and the pictures make the party look great fun. Nice to see your Alan signed photo in pride of place there Carol! Did you set fire to the fence? Or the cat?

The cat's very savvy! (The photo of Jaina & the cat is possibly my favourite one!) She knew when to steer clear and when to bring us dead rodents (which tasted just lovely in case you're curious!).

Given Carol's love for ALAN I was a little surprised at how much Nathan dominated the house! But I had to make sure I got a pic including my commissioned Alan wallpaper!

My weekend? Well, let me see, I spent the first part of it chauffering my sister's friends around (one of whom managed to be an hour late to the train station), then I spent the evening organising games for everyone to play.

Still, we had a good BBQ, especially as we had a couple of Aussies to do the catering. It's fairly rare that you can have an Australian in your household during the third test of the Ashes without them being completely unbearable so that was okay. This was actually the first party of my sister's that I can recall without someone getting violently drunk. We must be getting old.

Sunday had most of the guests up at unreasonable hours before we all had a brunch then more activities followed by a supper of lasagna, courtesy of my mother (who does an awesome lasagna). Then there was more chauffering.

I'd rather have been with you guys, definitely. Even if it involved eating barbecued rat.

Despite the reported chocolate abuse, it does sound like everyone had a great time!

Actually, Northwood is not that far from me (as I live in Northolt), I have ex in laws in Ruislip and for a period of time, I was the mortgage adviser for Haart in Northwood High St, then the same for Bairstow Eves opposite! Not a period of my life that I look back on with any pride - who wants to be sold overpriced life assurance?

So, these M&Ms. They are designed to melt in the mouth and not in the hand. I am slightly concerned that the game involved them melting in undesigned places.
