Thank you! *twitches* I'm getting my A-Level results in half an hour. I've spent the last two hours pacing the room anxiously. I need ABB to get into Nottingham on a geography/chinese studies course... there's no way I got that

Thanks for the good luck.

*collapses and dies from shock*

I GOT IN!

I got B (geo), B (computing), and C (maths). I'm proud of myself for getting a C in maths, and in geo, I was only 0.3% away from getting an A, because the damn exam board neglected to give me half of the exam paper... I blame them. But I don't care, because I got a letter from Nottingham this morning saying that I'm in anyway because I only narrowly missed the grade

WOOHOOO! Party at my house, everyone invited!

Good luck to everyone else! May your luck be as good as mine *giggles*

I remember getting my A Level results, we had to go to my school to get them first. I nearly collapsed in the corridor.

*Groan*

Well, I got a D in English. I'm really disappointed, I expected to do a lot better. I have two teachers who teach me the different parts...

And in one teachers exam I got a B, but in the other teachers exam I failed (by 3 marks)!! And in my coursework I was one mark of a C.

So my teacher wants me to retake that exam that I failed, cos she thinks I'll get a C overall.

And I got a B in Drama!

And I didn't get to take psychology, due to some confusion. But meh,

I'm going to go and comfort eat and stare at photos of Summer.

Thanks to everyone for their support.

So barring that retake you might, um, take, how do those results fit in with your plans?

Bearing in mind such sayings as "no plan survives contact with the enemy", plans can be changed, and almost always are. Just remember it's not the end of the 'verse, 'kay?

Yeah, nothing is ever as bad as it may seem today, my step brother did really badly in his a levels and is now working with kevin spacey doing filming and editing and stuff so doing slightly worse than you expected in a levels isn't ever as bad as you think it is.

And as for plans, I hadn't made any yet. I have no idea what I want to do!

I wouldn't worry, you can retake, or you can get a Uni place (if thats what you wish to do) in clearing if you aint got the grades you need...
Theres always options.

Yup, A levels don't set the course for your life but I know that's not much comfort for you at the moment.

*group hug for PR*

Like everyone else says, it'll work out. Fret not! Tests don't really show how smart you are anyway; test show how well you can take tests. You're too smart (and cute) to not end up doing something wonderful and exciting!

Afternoon all - PR don't you get stressed, in my experience things tend to work out ok! Nail that resit and keep positive. My A Level results might as well have flown in through the window and rammed straight up my pi gu they were that good, but I freaked out for half an hour, pulled it together , rang around a few Uni's and ended up at a better uni than my first choice and still got to do the course I wanted. Hell I'm now 10 days from finishing my postgrad degree - not bad for a plank like me!

See there ain't nowt to get too stressed about - you'll be fine!

Anyhow howdee y'all - hows things?

Best £7.95 I'm ever going to have spent.

I am joining the group hug,

If its any consolation (and I know it ain't) the worst part of your life will be now. Everything after A Levels is a vast improvement for the majority of people.

Besides you have survived education this far, that deserves a round of applause in itself

And I guess now, I just have to deal with it. It could be worse!

And if this is the worst part of my life...then woohoo! I'm havin a great time.

Thanks to all of you! Your words of encouragement have been great.

I'm sure my drama teachers gonna be jumping for joy when I see her. And I'm glad, our class of 4 is her last A Level one before she retires! She's fantastic!
