Okay, I was just watching some crappy music channel in the background and they had an old show on about wanabee actors and actresses, which had a sequence of someone who has not even (afaik) touched the radar of "made it" since, auditioning for Kaylee.

"Its like wagon train to the stars, yeah?" asks her dumb blonde friend.

"No, its more like the Dawsons Creek meets Star Trek" coulda-been-Kaylee responds. We now all hate her, but we get to see her murder the Book meets Kaylee scene.

In some alternate universe, this girl got cast, they probably cast Jon Lovitz as Mal and Pauly Shore as Jayne. And the series probably ran for 8 quality-free years.

I think he's saying there was some MTV special about wanna-be actors and their lives. One wanna-be actress they interviewed happened to have auditioned for the role of Kaylee. It wasn't surprising she didn't get the job, considering her view of FF was "a cross between Dawson's Creek and Star Trek" :: rollseyes ::
