I can relate as my grandparents' house as I remember it is also no more. Sigh. The forests are still there, but there's no reason to go back anymore, as my grandmother moved to a city apartment to be with her friends after my grandfather passed away a few years ago. Soooooo.... I guess I can spare my last slice.

*sets up a 'wife-soup' kitchen table, and places a big, hot slice of blueberry pie with vanilla icecream on top in front of CMS*

Ignore Hilary, Spinny, she's telling you falsehoods. I've seen Dairy Milks and I do believe there is chocolate in them. Lots of it. Healthy my foot!

Spinny, where in Fl did you grow up? I lived in Lakeland for 4 years (was just there this weekend for a wedding.)

Yay; glad the room fiasco got straightened out!

I like my ice cream bars dipped in chocolate, O yes! Now I want one!

I was born in Jacksonville, but my folks moved to Pensacola when I was five. They're still there, and we're going to spend a week with them the end of September. As a matter of fact, we'll be there for opening weekend of the BDM, and plan to drag them along to see it!

Spin-too bad you can't get up to NC for our BDMPP. But still, dragging your parents to see it is a good thing.

I never got up to Pensacola, but I hate driving through Jacksonville. I swear they should change Florida's state motto to- Florida: Under Construction.

My ex and her family are south of Jacksonville and, from what I hear, the drive into the city is truly horrific. I certainly don't miss that area in the least. I rather enjoy where I am, cold winters and all, and I especially like the small town (lack of) traffic.

It'd be great to Share the Signal with other Browncoats, that's a fact, but shindigs just don't go on where I/we could get to them in any practical fashion. I'll just have to enjoy them virtually.

Holy Llama of God, Matt, you're a chef as well???

Aren't you a bit too young to be so accomplished?

Stop! You're making me want to go on a baking spree, and it's much too warm for such activities.
You overachievers give me headache.

Just for the record: When I was a teenager, I got the best grade in my class on pie pastry. But now that I'm old and lazy, I always buy pastry crust and fill it. Or even buy frozen pies and skip all the fuss and mess entirely.

Truly sad, isn't it?

But darn you all for making me crave pie on a day when it's really to warm to even heat up a pre-made frozen one! Who are you people who bake in the summertime???? **grumble**

And as to Dairy Milk: You Brits don't fool me.
I know my Cadburys.

Hey all you guys!

Sorry about not being on the 'Boards much, it's just been busytime this summer: Been in a Dinner Theater play, and planning a big remodeling project on my house (*#$!@%& contractors and designers!) and Bonnet Bob & I had our 20th wedding anniversary party besides.

Plus, SO jealous that all the advance screening and premiere activity moved across to your shore.

AND periodic sulking about missing Starfuy Serenity2...that takes some energy, too, you know?

Sami's always either at work (ice cream parlor!) or hanging with her boyfriend (Anthony).

However, I never stopped promoting Firefly and Serenity. Tomorrow I'll be going into NYC to meet with our Browncoats, as a matter of fact. I'll be bringing six teenagers, counting Sami.

As to being the chocolate police? C'mon! EVERYBODY in the States who knows a thing about choccies knows about Dairy Milk, so I'm surprised you got away with your little joke as long as you did!

Please forgive me about the pie crust. Just so you don't think I'm a total kitchen slouch, I do still bake bread from scratch...in the cooler months, anyway. Although, with my kitchen slated for demolition/ remodeling over the autumn, it's going to be packaged meals (rosemary!) probably until the holidays. At which time I will completely redeem myself by baking and cooking nonstop in my beautiful, efficient new kitchen. So, y'all can visit then and I'll feed you, okay?

(((HUGS from Jersey!)))

Oh, and TreeTop Matt: Say hi to Summer from me and Sami ;-)

Hey all. One of the kids from my church is in the hospital in ICU. It's very bad. He's been poorly all his life; he's got liver problems, but this is something different, something with his spleen, and very serious. We're all quite worried about him.

So, if you wouldn't mind sending any prayers, healthy thoughts, etc. his way, it'd be much appreciated. His name's Alec and he's a great kid. 15 years old, plays guitar, basketball, video games. Very energetic, very smart.

You can be sure we're sending Alec thoughts and prayers from here. If it's any consolation, I know somebody who hasn't had a spleen since he crashed an ultralight plane in 1988. He's fine.

Not fantastically new, saw a few episodes on there original run over here in old Blighty...
Found this site around the same time which is when I found out it had been cancelled and then more or less let it be until more recently.
Then I 'rediscovered' FireFly and this site, and signed up...
Was curious one day while skulking around the boards, found an S2 thread, full of wonderfully mad types, and thought, ohh, there are people like me about .
And so goes the story of me and FireFly...

I'm all sorts of mysterious... I work for the MOD over here so Mystery is my middle name .
I'll try and put a few more bits and pieces on my profile when I can think of something to write...
And the Monkey Nija's say hi, but they have angred me recently, I gave them one simple job, steal teh plans for the Death Star, and they let the bothans do it first!

Quick hello - After last night I'm happly to say that in Serenity we have a very fine film. Thats all I'm saying and I'm gonna disappear for a while in case I can't help spilling the beans.

On side note I went to school with a lass with the finest name ever: Deepa Mistry

How cool is that?

Okay my IT lovelies. I've got a big problem. My grandfather somehow downloaded some program called "IncrediMail." I noticed it when I tried to get on the computer and I had three new icons on my desktop. I tried to uninstall it, but my add/remove program thing kind of frozen up when I tried. It won't do anything. And then, to make things weirder, I can't stop my computer from defaulting to Yahoo. I've got the annoying Yahoo toolbar uptop, which I don't want. I usually have MSN.com and it opened to that at first, but then flicked over to Yahoo. I don't even have a yahoo email address. None of us do, and I'm wondering if there's some connection between this evil IncrediMail and the Yahoo thing.

Help? Anyone?

Oh, we have windows XP and a Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop.

My, that's quite an impressive introduction! And lilacs! I love lilacs. Mine stopped blooming months ago; however did you find lilacs at this time of year?

Truly impressed and pleased to make your acquaintance.

SPINLAND

Yay yay yay money is better than no money so long as money's what things are all about.

My middle name is Lynn which is usually a girl's name but since it's my father's first name and he's kinda muscular and all that no one gives him crap about it so I guess I'm okay.

Is that a long enough sentance?

I'm a wee tipsy, had the second best golf round ever today after work and it was a loverly day regardless and I had probably too many of those nice Saranacs they brew near by and grammar and suchlike can go and kiss my shapely bum. Or something.

How goes?

I can see you.

Good luck and great fun-ness to everyone!!

I know someone who, apparently, has William Wallace far up in their family tree. It explains so much, believe me...

"My God - you're like a trained ape. Without the training."
