Alright, fellow Browncoats, here's the deal...

I have long respected Roger Ebert's film reviews. I tend to agree with alot of his opinions. Sometimes there's a difference of course.

On September 30th of this year, a film will be released that alot of people are anticipating. Now, if I'm to believe what I've heard, that our BDM plays well for any and everyone, Firefly-initiated and not, then that's cool. But I'm worried a bit.

You see, Roger Ebert in the past has tended to denigrate any film that has had any type of source material that he didn't see.

I know, I know, we're all looking forward to a thrilling time at the movies on the eve of October 1st and will enjoy our BDM, naysayers be damned, but I'm worried that he'll lead the charge in a gaggle of critics that will resent the fact that one's understanding of the series will greatly enhance the enjoyment of Serenity and thus throw a grudge on the printed page.

I guess what I'm trying to say is...any Chicago Browncoats feel like converting one more person? ;)

Have to respectfully disagree. I remember when the X-Files movie, Fight the Furniture, came out. He gave it a thumbs up, and said it made him interested in seeing the show.

That's the result I'm anticipating.

SickDude, you took the words out of my mouth,
I think that Roger Ebert will recognize good writing, and an exciting adventure...
and if he doesn't then well...
