Yeah, Capt'n. We should have everything ready to submit. We want our gorram credits!

Or at least we want to know when we want to begin the 84 1/2 day countdown to credits.

I only have one question...

Oh, Jack! Hello.

Hey, I see that you've found my operating instruments!

But what have I been doing? Well, here I've been dancing a bit.

* TheRealMe is somewhat annoyed that he actually had to explain that he was dancing. *

But over on the Sereni-Tree thread, Molly the Parrot has been involved in a tragic sporting accident. I've been trying to help her.

Uh, well, I've hooked her up to an autodoc until our vet, MontanaGirl, returns from the harvest.

Hey! In my defense:
That guy tried to kill me once, I think it's best I stay on his good side. If he thinks that I think he's sexy, hopefully he'll be less likely to try to slit my throat again. It's all a defense tactic.

You don't really think I'd be attracted to that creep, do you? Sheesh, I know I tend to have bad taste in men, but not THAT bad.

But really, Soul, can you do something about him? He'll scare the women.

Safe, you would only know if you've been on the SereniTREE, which you haven't.

See, Soul and his evil half were separated and EvilSoul decided to try to take over SereniTREE (it's a ship, by the way, that looks like a treehouse) so he kidnapped all us womenfolk and put us on another ship that was an exact replica of the real TREE. We figured it out, of course, but not before EvilSoul separated all the men into their good and bad halves, and made evil clones of all the women (including myself. But my poor evil clone kept getting knocked unconscious. Not so much fun). The men made a daring rescue mission for us, while we dealt with the evil halves of all the men (mostly by keeping them drunk). The two Souls had an epic battle of some sort (we seem to have about one a week) and during that battle, EvilSoul grabbed me and held a knife to my throat since on the TREE, Soul and my character kind of have a thing for each other (also I have wings, long story.) Good Soul, of course, triumphs over his Evil self, we're all saved, all the men get reunited, one way or another, with their evil selves (Some deal with it better than others) and now we just survived an attack by cozenbugs and I'm in the middle of a pifflepony race. I think I might be winning, too.

Don't worry if you don't understand. I don't understand and I'm there.

So anyway, now you know why I don't care so much for EvilSoul, but I want to keep him on my good side because I don't plan on dying today. At least not until after the NCBDMPP.

I haven't joined in the last couple days 'cause I have nothing to say :) So I'll just rant for a minute instead, hehe.

My boyfriend just had surgery to attempt to fix his sleep apnea (sp?). That meant carving out his nose, his throat, his soft palate, and removing his tonsils. Needless to say he's in pain, miserable, and can barely breathe. He lives with his mom (only just graduated from college, ok? give 'im a break) and they have this old victorian that's messy and dirty (none of 'em into cleaning) with a lot of ferrel cats that wonder through (nice people though, really, they just love cats). Well, there was a flea infestation (bound to happen, lucky it wasn't sooner really) SPACE FLEAS? they were crawling over him in bed, poor guy, but pet owners are generally immune to their own pet's fleas (unless they go away on vacation for a month or so and the fleas breed--I've been reading up on it). But I'm ALLERGIC to bug bites so of course I got TWENTY bites and am irritable and unhappy myself now. All over my legs and tummy and back :( So once he gets better I'll have to break the news to him that I cannot go back to his house until they irradicate the fleas (which I doubt these lazy anti-cleaners are going to do). Yay.

End of rant.

Well the whole thing was a blast. Not only did I get to see the movie, but there were special guests... none other than Nathan and Morena!!!

I couldn't believe it! I thought there might be guests, but I heard they were in London so figured they'd go to the London screening. I was so psyched. They answered a fair few questions - even got one of mine answered, and my dad asked one too

As for pics - well I got some, though they may not be excellent. I was sitting near the back and so, even though I have a zoon function on the camera, it didn't really pick them up. However, the BDH were signing items outside the screen so I got some of them signing, and plus I got a photo taken with Morena!!! However it wasn't the perfect moment it could have been - I felt ever so guilty because she was on her way out and I was trying to sort out my camera before taking the pic. But she was ever so patient and gracious. Still, I could look better in the pic - I was too excited about the prospect that I forgot to pose properly

Anyway, I'll give the full debrief and pictures later. It's 3am as I type this.

It sure was. It was a hell of a thing trying to get there though. We'd never driven to Birmingham before and so were both (dad as the driver and me as director) a bit nervous about travelling there. Then after everything going smoothly we made one simple mistake - we took the route down the M6 Toll and not the M6 - I figured "what's the difference?" - turns out there was big difference. We were about 13 miles away at the time and then we just went further and further away. 45 minutes later and we were no closer. Worse still I had got my tickets from someone who had some spare and was planning on meeting him outside to collect them. so I was worried about that, and worried about whether we'd actually get there. Fortunately I got my bearings and at 8:15 (movie started at 8:30) we arrived. I must say, as eager as I was about seeing it, I was thinking about giving up then and there after 45 minutes travelling aimlessly.

But it sure was worth it

On the way back the back passenger side tire blew out and we could have been in a serious accident - we had to wait till 00:30 before someone picked us up. And yet none of it took away from the whole experience. It was a night to remember that's for sure

Oh no Needy! That's awful. Poor you!

I had a flat tire once. It was miserable. I was about 2 hrs out from my house, heading to my parents for Thanksgiving. I got the flat around 8pm, after all the tire places had closed and this was before I had the good car insurance with the roadside assistance. Oh also, it was really cold and pouring rain and I had my cat with me because I couldn't find someone to watch him over the 4 day weekend so I had to take him with me.

Sooo, I ended up having to take everything out of my trunk to dig out the spare and change the tire myself in the freezing rain and then drive home at 50 mph on a major interstate highway. Got home sometime really really late at night. By the time I got up in the morning and got the tire replaced it was just too much hassle to try to make it to my parents house.

But, on the upside, I ended up eating Thanksgiving Dinner at a friends house who hosted international students. I ate dinner with people from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Taiwan and Venezuela. The most interesting Thanksgiving I ever had. The End.

See what happens when I'm forced to bump this thread up? You all have to listen to my stories.

Okay, Needster, saw pictures of the car, now let's see pictures of the BDHs!!!

Okay, Needster, saw pictures of the car, now let's see pictures of the BDHs!!!

whoa what an experience. It's funny (well, not so much for you) when we were waiting for the recovery truck, I was saying to my dad that at least it wasn't really cold, or wet or anything like that. It was bit chilly after a while but we just put our jackets on. The guy said on the phone that it's best to put your hazard lights on and stand outside of the car behind the barrier - we did that for like 3 minutes before going back in. Its not just because we were tired of standing around, but we were way onto the hard shoulder - completely off the road - and only a car that itself was crashing would hit us. Plus it was a lot quieter in there without the blaring noise of passing lorries.

Your tale of a multinational thanksgiving sounds like it was memorable - but was it enjoyable, or just "interesting"?

The pics are now up - you can see them in that thread I posted a link to (unless you're already there as I type this)

THEREALME

* TheRealMe looks at both Safe and Jack, then at the robot woman in the bubblewrap. *

You know, gentlemen, if we continue to work on Bubbles, here, we might find our reputation with any real females declining. In fact, if we hold out any hope of a relationship with a REAL woman, then we should probably avoid Bubbles entirely.

* TheRealMe pauses for a moment as he considers this. *

Uh, I think this part goes… here!

Yeah, right, Safe. That's going to happen. (Not the comic, the live model thing.)

But what I WILL do is help you (insert chinese phrase for "moronic primative baboons" here) out. Hand me those.

*Serenity takes the body parts, begins to assemble poor Bubbles (very creative name there, TRM)*

No, hand me the smaller ones. You guys don't deserve the bigger ones. No, smaller.

*Puts Bubbles together in under 60 seconds.*

Well I read through some more after posting this and it appears that the editors of ISBA (or whatever it is) have apoligised for grouping those two rude fans in with the rest of us, but still it looks like the damage has been done by their posting negative reviews on the site

Hopefully it will all be sorted out for the better, but it just goes to show that not all Browncoats are the nice people you'd think.

Being a fan is one thing, as is showing your support to the movie, but going off on vendettas against people that offend us (intentional or otherwise) is certainly only going to bring bad press
