Hello Fellow Browncoats,

The crew here at "The Signal" podcast want to get the word out about all the great Shindigs that are being planned by local Browncoat groups around the time of the premiere of the BDM. We would like to "spread the word" to as many folks as possible so we are asking each group that has any plans for a Shindig to please share them with us so we can include them on upcoming podcasts as well as list them on our web page. We realize many groups are still formulating their plan but the sooner we can start discussing these Shindigs the better. If you would like your groups Shindig to be included please send us the following information by September 16th...

- planned date and time
- planned location
- approx. how many people may be in attendance
- how to contact your group - email address and/or website

Greetings, fellow Browncoats!

I've been lurking around here for a little while (I have this site's RSS feed subscribed), & just registered so that I could post a reply to this thread.

I'm a latecomer to Firefly (after seeing the SERENITY trailer for the first time several months back), but no less enthusiastic than the rest of you... just a little "greener" than most! I was so blown away by just the first SERENITY trailer, that I immediately went out and picked up the Firefly dvd box set, and haven't looked back since.

I love the idea of a SERENITY pre-show "shindig", and would love to attend one if - by a stroke of enormous luck - there happens to be one nearby. I live out in the sticks of southern Illinois, so I'm not holding my breath. However, I only live a couple hours drive from St. Louis, so I might conceivably make the trek there to join my fellow Browncoats.

I'm assuming that you'll be compiling the data that you receive and posting it here, so we can determine where the closest "shindig" will be happening. I look forward to meeting up with other Firefly fans!
