The Hi Society invites you to power-up (and Liquor-up), before Joss Whedon's Serenity-spectacular opens in movie theaters September 30, 2005!

For those who have missed the ship, “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer” and 'Angel" creator Joss Whedon, aired a third, short-lived, futuristic Western called “Firefly” in 2001. The action drama, features nine fugitives, with hidden agendas, dualities and sexual tensions, who smuggle cargo through space in their a small junk-heap of a spaceship. Fox abruptly cancelled the series after nine episodes, demonstrating their poor taste and triggering a sizable cult backlash.

The upcoming film (Serenity) will FINALLY resolve the narrative for disappointed fans, cultivate a new generation of buffs (get it?) and inspire thematic parties....

So join us at Korova Milk Bar on three Sundays in September, for Bloody Mary specials and screenings of the ENTIRE Firefly series. (to note: all episodes are approximately 40min)
