You're excited.

September 30th is right around the corner. You plan to see it again and again and again. While true the opening weekend box-office is the make or break time for any new movie, it is the second weekend that people look at.

Most movies have a very significant drop-off in week two, sci-fi films especially.

This thought floated through the ether and smacked me in the head today while at work.

We need to do anything and everything to ensure that our BDM is not only a big success for the weekend of September 30th, but one that holds traction in its second weekend.

Anyway, that's just my two cents. Your thoughts?

Not to worry.

Back in 1977, before many of you were crawling, and back when VCRs cost more than $1,000.00, I bought tickets to see the original Star Wars something like 16 times, over the first few months.

Since it won't be out on DVD yet, the only way to get another fix will be to buy another ticket. I'm guessing I'll be there once a week for the first two months at least.

That's what they really mean by "having legs".

I won't be able to see it opening weekend, so I'll just have to make up for it by going 60 times afterwards.
