Off-topic.

Does anybody have any interesting or funny sleepwalking stories?

I think I've only properply sleepwalked (sleptwalked?) once. It was about two years ago. I went to bed early and then I, well, it felt like a dream...I went downstairs, went into the kitchen, and went to the cupboard and started pulling out my mums best china and dropped a plate on the floor and smashed it. The smash kind of woke me up. My mum came out of the living room and asked what the hell I was doing, and shouted at me so I ran upstairs to bed. I went back to sleep and woke up what must have been half an hour later. I went downstairs, confused, and asked my mum if I just broke a plate and she said I did.

It was really strange. I have no idea what I thought I was doing, or what I wanted.

So...yeah, share your sleepwalking stories!

STARRBABY

I've woken my poor hubby up many a time screaming about a raccon being in the bedroom or a spider in the sheets. Ofcourse, neither are actually there, and I get really pissed when he tells me I'm dreaming. In my delerious mind, it's true. Imagine if you were trying to tell someone that there was a spider in the bed and he told you you were dreaming and to go back to sleep.
I do remeber one night hopping up and standing next to the wall and pushing against it. I came to my senses pretty quick and realized that I was dreaming that the wall was falling. I was saving the day.
He he he. I can't wait to hear more of these from other people.

LETOV

Until I was 8 or 9 I would have really bad nightmares almost every night. My father wouldn't bother going to bed until my nightmare it was so regular. On the days I didn't I would often sleepwalk instead. Usually pretty boring stuff. Getting up and trying to get something to eat or drink but being completely oblivious of the darkness or even my father talking to me. Wierd stuff.

Had a similar experience to the spider/racoon thing once though. I was dreaming that I was visiting my grandmother and a snake bit me on my foot. I woke up with a splitting pain in my toe. Nothing really wrong of course, but it sure felt real. I ran into my parent's bedroom screaming. Took a long time to calm me that night...

I feel ya. I'm phobic too. They used to happen all the time, but they've calmed down. I still wake poor hubby with silly ideas, but not nearly as scary. Things like the dog getting out of her kennel or the phone ringing when it's not.

On a funnier note, my husband's brother used to get up and pee on the wall thinking he was inthe bathroom. This was when he was little, so it was still funny. I think he's done with that now . .other wise, he's never staying over here.

one night when i was ten i woke up sitting in front of the refrigerator, which was open, holding a jar of mustard in my hand at about 4 am.
Never figured out what i was planning to do with that mustard...

JACQUI

I have sleep walked (is that a term even?) a few times in my life, but they're not as weird as my sister...

Anyways...

Me 1) Once I woke up in the bath. No water or anything, still in my nightie, I'd just gone and lay down in the bath tub and kept sleeping.

2) Another time I took some meat out of the freezer to defrost it, then went and laid down on top of the dining table.

My sister was *always* sleepwalking when she was a kid. She'd often be found roaming the street in nothing but bare feet and a nightie... even when there was frost. Plus, she'd sleep with her eyes OPEN. So she'd walk around and *look* at you while she was doing it.

But one story always gets told from when she was five...

Where she got up one night, pulled out a drawer from the chest of drawers, pulled up her nightie and, you guessed it, proceeded to use it as a toilet until the whole thing came crashing down on her.

*~*~*
"Your toes are in the sand."
"And your head's up your..."
"Hey!"
