Well folks, all my clients have exercised their options on the shots that they wanted, so I'm free to share with you some of the best shots that I took at the world premier screening of Serenity in Edinburgh - so without further ado

And, just for fun, here's two shots from the other premiere's I attended

Really, really, really nice work, Vike. I take it you've been doing this professionally for some time now.

Tell me, was Morena grinning and giggling the whole time like your pictures indicate? (She seems in the pictures like she was just eating it all up. Somewhere between a Cheshire Cat and a tickled baby.)

Which of the cast felt the most "natural" or easy to shoot?

Wow, I had been wondering why Adam was wearing a t-shirt, but now that I see the details... wow.

The shirt was made using Lux Lucre's Firefly Park designs, see here:

Lux was a big fan, made a ton of pictures and songs and had met Adam and Alan in Vancouver and was really nice to everyone... just a great guy. He died quite a while ago due to complications of diabetes.

How touching that Adam wore a shirt of his design!

Seeing that t-shirt made me happy and sad at the same time. Lux is sorely missed.

Not all that long; I turned pro back in December '04 but photography has always been a hobby of mine - I'm still very much learning about the technical side of it, but I must be doing something right to be making a living from it :)

Morena did have a grin most of the time - in fact the whole cast were lapping it up. The only notable exception was Chiwetel Eijofor - I don't know much about Firefly/Serenity, but I gather he's been drafted in as the villain of this film? I guess if that's the case he just wasn't used to the overwhelming response from the fans :)

All of them were very accomodating; during the rooftop portrait session (look for my other thread) I managed to chat a little with almost everyone and I can say that it was quite a relaxing shoot - but I guess that comes from the fact that, unlike the press photographers present earlier, I'm a portrait photographer by trade and prefer one-on-one interaction with my subjects.

BLUESUNWORSHIPPER

I had the best idea for a tee-shirt. Okay, the front was my pal Mel's idea, but the back was all me.

On the front, in bold letters, with blood spatter everywhere, it says, "Reavers Fear Me." On the back, it has the Blue Sun logo with the moniker - "Powered by Blue Sun. Attrition through Nutrition."

I laughed hard at that. If anybody wants to make that shirt through CafePress, let me know. I'll buy a ton. Or, you know, let me know, and I'll design it myself...but it MUST be done.
