Serenity as a game would probably actually not be very good.
However I was just thinking hmm what could they do with Serenity esque videogames.

Books past would probably be interestingly told via a Roleplaying game of sorts. Not that we know too much about it but think about the details it could shed into this.

Then we have Jayne who has been doing this mercenary work for ages now. "The Job" With Jayne Cobb owuld make a awesome video game. Just a actionesque game where they go into Jaynes past by showing Jobs he had to do under other people.

Companion training school with Inara wouldn't go too well with the kiddies or the ladies so Ill just skip that idea. Lol.

Battle of serenity Valley would make a awesome FPS but it'd be kinda meh just cause we know how it ends up.

Flight school with wash might be a interesting idea to delve into.

Same with maybe medical school for Simon.

Kaylee is a toughie. Same with River.
But then again we don't klnow. A River game could be great if you could control her powers. Maybe she was sent on missions while she was at the school.

Xoe Im not too sure about either probably would be part of the serenity valley game.

Hmm then theres lesser characters,

The Niska game . Like sim city only you're running a evil syndicate and you get to torture people. lol

The saffron game. What name will you be married with this time.

Methinsk the Early game would probably be too dark to make a video game.

And who could forget the game where the game's story would be the GREAT GEISHA DOLL HEIST!

My idea would be a free roam game. You start off by creating your character and you are stuck on a planet with a little money and a battered ship. Using the money, you can hire a pilot to a few planets that are close by. Jobs can be taken on any of these worlds. Jobs can be anything from transporting goods or people to salvage operations. As you get more money, you can get a better ship and explore planets that are further out. Also, you can hire a mechanic to keep the ship in working order, a few mercenaries for the messy work and have a Companion on your ship to unlock even more planets. In space, the ship can be flown manually and on the ground would be a third person style game. The crew of Serenity could pop up from time to time in the story as NPC's.

well that was what I was thinking only instead of Joe Schmo you could do it as Jayne. Well nto as much in the big captain capacity. But free roam mission liek game with Jayne as the star. One of the missions could be stealing from the magistrate.

MMORPG. 'Twould be great!

Chances are, though; if we get a game, it'll most likely be a rushed job. Some generic platformer or FPS or something. Although I like to think Joss wouldn't let that happen..

I like the idea of creating a character and gradually building a crew and taking on jobs, though. That sounds like fun.
