Oh the guilt - am really looking forward to The Corpse Bride but of course its competition for our little movie. Personally I can't see Serenity outgrossing it in the UK. We Brits like morbid stuff!

BTW, I've added a poll about the posters to my home page - so feel free to drop by & vote.

But there's a substantial percentage of adults who will not go to see an animated movie, no matter how brilliant. Even the Nightmare Before Christmas grossed under £2m here.

It's weird to come here and have a hundred unread messages. But I come with a gleam in my heart and a song in my step. Today was a better day at work. I suddenly genuinely felt I was contributing and not being in the way. More than that, I was helping out the guy who I'll be working with most.

I stayed about an hour late and barely felt it at all. Suddenly I felt surrounded by an overwhelming feeling of confidence which made all the difference. In fact, other than one disappointment, this has been a really good week.

*gives everyone in sight a big hug because he's in that sort of mood*

Plus I brought chocolate too. Look, it's Milka. Mmmmmmmm.

That's so very cool! I've had times like that at work, and the uplifting feeling when things come together is just like you described, to me. Congrats!

The chocolate is shiny, too. Yum!

And thanks for the chocolate...

Hey, glad to hear things are going better. Maybe it's contagious - I even shared a light hearted moment with my idiot boss today!

Ah well, we'll find out soon enough how our BDM will fare. Have just been reading Total Film & see that the Wallace & Gromitt film comes out the week after Serenity - so there it is, sandwiched between 2 animated films.

Yay! Home from work.

And twg you're right...I would say Sean is the cream of the crop when it comes to the menfolk. And my...what a crop!

I have pringles. Anyone wanna pringle?

I'm also quite happy, after spending an awkward 4 hours at work ignoring my ditching friend...I had an hour-long phone call from someone I really like, so it was really nice.

It's the first time we've spoken on the phone before too...so it was cool.

*Crunch* Goof pingle.

You can't just come in here and tease us with your Pringles!! Evil...

Right, I'm off to watch the shiny DVD trailer (well, it's not a DVD trailer, it's a shiny trailer on a DVD - but you knew that).

See you all tomorrow!

It wouldn't be a certain Miss Glau, would it?

Does anyone know if any more guests are going to be added to the line up before the con?

You know, a thrible. The thing you doing all thrible related activities with. Thribles for goodness sake, almost everyone in the world knows about...

Oh wait, you're American, I forgot. Um.

No, there's no such thing as thribles. They do not exist and even if they did, they would not produce 100 grams of finest chocolate in an hour nor would they be able to do your tax returns for you.

(Sean, are you sure you didn't leave yours generating Olympic standard poetry down at the town hall?)

So, to clarify, no such thing as thribles.

What a positively wacky site! Eastern European computer geeks getting down and dirrrty. Mmmm mmm.

Have to dash again. Am entertaining friends right now. They flew in yesterday, and stupidly promised to pick them up from this random Ryanair airport that they landed in. I eventually got home at 2am, and had been driving the car for 6 hours in a massive thunderstorm.
Not so fun...
And now it's actually time for the tourism. So... i'm off.

Hmmm, not afraid as such but don't like them - and I particularly don't like them in my bedroom at night, because you never know where they're going to turn up in the morning...

I was actually trying to get to sleep last night when I felt something under the duvet - yes, it was a little spider corpse. Of course I couldn't get to sleep after that because I kept imagining I could feel things brushing against me! And not in a good way.

Of course I'm assuming that this is the spider I saw the other day but maybe he's still out there, plotting revenge for his deceased cousin....

Oh for crying out loud, one of the replacement CafePress orders has turned up complete with £9.00 Customs charge. Anyone want to buy a Fireflyclass sweatshirt?! Not sure I need two...

Had a spider in my hair once - that was nice. Honestly, you'd think my Puppet Angel would see them off!

Ooh, comic today! Hopefully! How exciting!

Rel, I hope you fulfilled your hug/hand-holding duties!

Brief synopsis of yesterday afternoon/evening/night:

I must've driven like a loon cos I arrived at Carol's an hour earlier than either of us thought I would.

We were treated to a family play featuring a teddy bear funeral that ended with a miracle. It highlighted how hard it is to be a writer/director/actor.

No hand-holding or hugging was required on the Tube as Carol was a model of calmness. I would attribute that to my calming presence, if that wasn't a load of horse pukey.

Met some nice folks. Always good, that.

Saw a film. It was, like, okay. So okay that the first thing I did when we got out of our seats was give Carol a hug and say 'thank you'.

Ate food in Chiquitos. Talked about the movie, Angel, Buffy, politics and hurricane-based disasters. Got Craig to say 'murder', 'curly wurly' and 'all the squirrels in the world' alot. It's a Glaswegian accent thing.

Went back to Carol's, drove back to whence I came. Slept, but not enough.

So.

It's just frickin' ace isn't it? Best thing I've seen in ages. And on a frickin' huuuuge screen to boot.

Now I can buy and read the various books, swan around smugly in spoiler-filled places, and wait eagerly to see it again... and again... in moderation. Too much Serenity will blow your mind away.

And in final news: yesterday, the day I went to the press screening and saw Serenity, Abbyshot completed my Browncoat. It will soon be on it's way. That's so da bianhua it's ridiculous.

Keep flyin'...

lol! I'm surprised that the school computer system let me see that actually. It usually gets very tetchy.

Although I am glad that I was the only person in the room when I opened my link. Nobody would have believed "A weird girl told me to look at it! It's not porn..it's erotica!"

Robsthell - You never know...apparently Joss has a pretty much open invitation to any starfury con, and he does love to spend time with his BDH's!

If Summer rings me, I may have a seizure.

No reply from the letter yet. But its a bit early I guess.

I'd be surprised if she replied actually, because I didn't put a self-addressed stamped envelope in with the package,or any of thosed IRC's in with it. But my address is there, so who knows?

Right I'm off home for lunch.
