Spinland: the video was a newsclip. A reporter was at a Walmart in LA where people had just broken in and were just ransacking the place taking anything they wanted. The place was a DISASTER. And then, the report saw a police woman and asked her what she was doing there and she said she was doing her job, looking for looters. But she was just letting people take stuff. And then they showed another cop with a basket full of stuff. Chaos. Madness. What would I do if I were in their shoes?

Sean-Can't say I disagree with you there.

Mmmm..the peaches are so sweet this year.

I buy this premade soup from a brand called Pacific. It's all natural; none of that high fructose corn syrup and whatnot. And all their soups are fantastic. I eat them all the time. My favourite is usually their tomato and red bell pepper, but I also love their carrot and squash. One day I'll have to try to make it myself from scratch. I think it's the hint of nutmeg that does it for me.

I am very fond of acorn squash and spaghetti squash. I can eat that stuff like crazy.

The soups sound lovely, and both of those squashes are favorites here, too. We've been harvesting a pile of very nice yellow squashes from our little summer garden; we slice them thin and sautee with a little butter and some fresh minced garlic. Heaven.

Now I'm seriously craving chocolate.

And I'm so glad most people don't like coconut because I LURVE it. More for me. When I was a little girl, the boys would climb the coconut palms and drop them down and they'd drill holes in them and we'd drink the coconut milk straight out of the coconuts. And then they'd pry them open and we'd eat the meat. Mmmmmm...wonderful stuff.

The british tea shop in town just sent out a flier to announce it's selling lots of new stuff. Includig Irn-Bru and new shortbreads and canned haggis. All sorts of new stuff. I'll have to drop by sometime next week and see.
