Serenity (and others who may be curious) , you can get a ticket any time Friday. The guy I talked to at the theater a couple of weeks ago said tickets could be purchased any time on the day of the show (but not before).

Thanks Watson! I'm going to do that and save myself stressing about it. I'm sure we can all head over en masse to the theater Fri. morning to get tickets.

TRM-I haven't started yours yet,but I've nearly finished Amy's and Needy's. So give me your head measurement because I can definitely have it done by the 30th. And I made some improvements to Needy's so I think yours is going to be the shiniest yet. They keep getting better and better. I may end up redoing mine.

If I recall correctly, the theater has ~400 seats. Not sure if it will have multiple screens, but I doubt it based on the theater. The theater is older (but recently renovated), and isn't one of the newfangled staduim-seating type cinemas. I think it has 6 screens total.

I'm not terribly concerned about them selling out. The only x-factor is the number of students that walk over from NC State, which is literally across the street from the theater. Being that Mission Valley is older, I think most folks that are outside of our Browncoat 'verse (and thus don't know about the NCBDMPP) will head over to Crossroads 20 or some other megaplex to check the movie out. So, unless there is just a huge contingent of State students that walk over, I doubt seating space will be an issue.

Also, the theater definitely does have draft beer for all our imbibing needs. Dunno exactly which beers, but they have beer. Mmmmm...beer.

Not 100% sure about the root beer, but I may be over in that shopping center tonight or tomorrow and I'll pop in and check. I'll also check the varieties of adult beverages they carry, and I'll ask if they have any idea of what the showtimes might be.

Also, if folks are looking for something more high-octane than beer, there is an ABC store just up the steps from the theater. Getting it into the theater from there is up to you though...

The meeting went well! I will post the final event schedule by lunch time tomorrow. It was great meeting you Diane, Atilla, and Torquemada(again).

We discussed the different contests and even thought up a couple more (thanks Torquemada)!

We also talked about the advertising of the shindig. Torquemada is going to put posters in the NC State, Hillsborough St., and Cameron Village area. I will place posters in the different comic, rpg, and trading card shops in North Raleigh. Plus I will put posters in the various book stores and other places that have bulletin boards. Watson is going to tell WRAL (you can see their offices from the theater!) and some of the local papers about the NCBDMPP.

Diane is going to lend me her computer projector for the marathon as well as her Wonderfalls dvd set.

More stuff was said but it is getting too late for me to post them tonight.

Ok, I just found out that most of the people in my group are not going. In fact it's down to me and Maybe 1 of the couples that were going. So I'm clarifing directions from their house to the theatre and driving myself. They all want to see it Sat. at a Stadium Seating Theatre. So I'll go with them too.

I'm fair certain we're going to "briar creek" on Sat. but not sure what time. Tends to be earlyish. We also tend to visit "Crazy Fire" down the road before a movie, so maybe we'll run into some 'Coats Sat. as well.
