Surely the idea of movie posters is to encourage the public, who are unaware of the film to, to go and see the film. this poster has the exact opposite effect (IMO). The postery is mainly grey, all the characters are standing spread out evenly all posing with guns and river is in the foreground with an axe and sword, the overall effect is of some cheap vapid action movie with no depth or plot. Who ever is responsible for this should be fired, the poster has little to do with the atmosphere and style of Firefly and has all but guaranteed that no bypasser unfamiliar with firefly will go and see it. Joss if you read this please have a serious talk to the people who deal with advertising and promotion in the UK as they have singlehandedly managed to sabotage the boxoffice takings for Serenity, I can only hope this doesn't impact any future firefly related projects. I am so annoyed by this.

If I didn't already obsess over it, that is. You might not like it, but it's probably the kind of poster that's going to draw people in.
Quote: It just stinks of a 'couldn't care less' attitude by the promotion people.
