I'm all for unity, just not Unification.

Independance, Independants, both good.

Not as good as a certain movie though. Apparently, it's quite large, and cursed by the Almighty to dwell in Hell.

Probably a special Hell, at that.

Settle in, settle down, bottoms up. In a chocolate vodka drink kind of a way, obviously. Any other way, you can take it somewhere private.

...

Oh dear. That came out a bit wrong, didn't it?

...

Arg. That too.

I think I'll shut up now.

It was all about unspeakable acts committed with a blender, a bottle of Stoli, a box of Alan-shaped chocolate thingies, and a crate of strawberries.

The results, while not pretty, were apparently tasty.

Sorry your computer isn't working keely. That was my yesterday. It's the worst when you can't do work when you want to because of a stupid computer!

I'm bored, too.

Well, not bored as in I have nothing to do, but bored in that itchy, twitchy, I don't want to be sitting at my desk way. I'd skiv off work and go shopping if I could.

I think it's the weather. It's been threatening to rain for a day and a half and it hasn't.

yay you!

I've seen it a couple times, but it's this really uninteresting american one that says something like "The crew of Serenity doesn't realized just how dangerous their newest passenger is" (scenes of River kicking butt, Mal shoving the fan) "They're about to find out." Rock music, lots of flashy action scenes and then I think Mal does his "This is the captain here. We may experience some turbulence and then explode. " and that's pretty much it. It doesn't thrill me like the UK one does.

But if it draws in the fans of snappy action flicks, then it'll have served its purpose. Those of us who know better are already hooked.

My boss was just hanging out in my office for a while. He's tired of work today, too, and mostly wanted to talk about a computer game, some new TV shows, and the Serenity trailers he saw during them. I love my boss.

Actually, I've never watched it. I just can't make myself interested in the premise enough to sit down and spend the time. Generally we both hate TV and ours is almost never on, except to check the weather or catch a Yankees or Bills game (or when the DVD player is filled). Even when the West Wing is showing new episodes we record them because planning our day to be in front of the TV at a certain time just seems weird. They pile up until we get around to watching 2-3 of them in a row to clear off the tape. We did used to try to watch X-Files and ER before they jumped the shark and started to suck too much to watch. There's just nothing on that's worth the effort, and simply turning on the TV without a specific target to watch isn't something we'd ever do.

TV programmers hate people like us, O I'm sure they do.

And it seems there's a direct, bypasses-that-whole-paying-thing link out there if you go looking, now. I'm not going to post it for what sounds like a crazy reason:

I want people to pay for it so FOX knows how many people want it, so that they release a proper (and complete) CD.

Two ways too look at it.
(1). FOX (and indeed MS) don't deserve to make money, havent for a long time. Especially MS, if Vista is any good, I'll buy it. If its slightly better than what went before (i.e. buggy crap) I won't.
(2). FOX won't release a CD, or consider reviving FireFly (Ok that ain't likely anyway) without money. (This point doesn't work for MS tho).

Anyway, anti-capatalist rant aside...
So, my computers Belkin Wireless Dongle just died, so I have to connect to the internet using my Laptop.
I've had the Belkin thing for about three months, not once mistreated it, and the thing dies. £30 for worthless crap, fantastic...
I'm not sure who I'm more angry at, Belkin for selling me some worthless rubbish, or me for throwing said rubbish against the wall so hard it became lots of little bits of rubbish...
Thus invalidating my warranty...
Idiot...

So...
I've just forked out £52 for a new Linksys Wireless PCI card and delivery for this Saturday.
I'm going to write this up in blog form, that might make me feel better...
Thanks for reading my rant

I'd love to just get someone to rip me a CD, but I also want Fox to know that WE WANT OUR GORRAM MUSIC!! *torn*

Is it a bit weird that now the only thing I'm thinking about Serenity is the box office results for the first weekend. I'm like a movie executive (I'm thinking up five bad decisions as we speak).

Anyone know of somewhere we could track the first day's results? That should give us a big damn clue as to what the answer is going to be. The weekend numbers will be everywhere by Sunday evening but still... sooner, better.

Oh, and Fray, I've suddenly realised I haven't ordered a Team Random shirt, could you give me a link pretty please? I hear it's going to be all the rage. The rage...
