Huzzah!

I don't suppose I'll be able to stay long enough to actually get anything signed, but you never know - and at least it will be a chance to give the new camera a test run!

Nah, it's fine really! Besides, you'll be staying one place as opposed to wandering around the shopping centre. We used to go there Christmas shopping - suppose if I went more than once a year there's a chance I'd find my way around better!

So are you going on Saturday?

OFF THE FRONT PAGE? I THINK NOT!!

Nope. Got nuthin' else to-

Oh, summerglau.co.uk confirms that Summer will be at Collectormania 8, so I completely believe it now. I'd thought that the weekend of Serenity's release in the US was an odd time for her to be over here, but apparently not.

I guess we'll just have to suffer the burden of going to see her then, eh? *rolls eyes* It's such a hardship.

So, guess what happened to me?

I was at Target, shopping for jeans (which I hate doing) and I was in a dressing room trying them on. When I was done, I tried to leave said dressing room. But the doorknob wouldn't work. I kept trying and trying and I kept pushing the lock button, but nothing worked. I finally had to yell for help and the dressing room attendant managed to ram the door open.

Oh, it was sooooo embarrasing!!!

Weighing in, with purposelfully random intent, I submit my thoughts on the issue of nicknames.

They can be gorram evil.

Why, ask y'all with bated breath?

Here's a f'rsinstance. My dear papa, in typically derisive Hungarian fashion, conferred upon myownself an ononmatopoetic sobriquet reflecting the charming spitting sound I would make when as a mere babe I suckled at momma's breast. Guaranteed to invoke adolescent adolescent identity battles, lemme tell ya.

Maybe that was Dad's purpose, who knows?

Do any of you remember awhile ago a girl posted a pic in the BSR. She had a bleach spot on her favourite jeans and instead of getting rid of them, she bleached a picture of Serenityover the spot.

Well, I thought it was such a great idea, and it turned out so cute, that I decided to try it. It was easy and it turned out so well. The jeans are in thy dryer now, but when I pulled them out of the wash, you could see a near perfect Serenity. I'm so chuffed because 1) I didn't mess them up and 2) I can wear them to the NCBDMPP. Morning guys...

I discovered this article in this morning's sunday paper here in Scotland. I couldn't believe it when the recent promotional photo of the ladies was staring back at me! Here's the article in full:

Quote:

Article taken from The SUNDAY MAIL newspaper, September 25, 2005:

GIRLS LUST IN SPACE

This fantastic foursome are set to be the sexiest cinematic space girls since Jayne Fonda’s Barbarella.
Gina Torres, Morena Baccarin, Summer Glau and Jewel Staite star in sci-fi movie Serenity, set on a spaceship 500 years in the future, after an intergalactic civil war.
All four are reprising their roles from Firefly, the short-lived tv show by Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon – axed after just 14 episodes.
The cast were delighted when it got the big-screen go-ahead. And these stunning stars will be matching their attraction with action. The girls spent a month in fight camp training for the action sequences.
Summer, 24, who plays psychic River, has a series of explosive action scenes.
She said: “It was exhausting. My legs were shaking every day. I thought I was going to collapse.
“I was drenched in sweat and ready to cry. It was a real test of motivation and an intense experience.”
 Serenity opens on October 7.

JOHN MILLAR.

I have learned two things in the last 12 or so hours. And they are:

1) The Butterfly Effect is a horrible movie. It hurt to watch it. I couldn't finish it.
2) Gigli was a ridiculous waste of money. Trained monkeys could have written a better script.

I've seen The Butterfly Effect! It's a really dark movie. My sister recommended it. (Which is weird, 'cause she gets wigged out by scary stuff.)

It was good. There were bits that I thought were really good, and bits that were kinda stupid. It was enjoyable though. It was thought provoking stuff. There were lots of twists and turns in it too that I liked.

... Everything's good here thanks. (I'm kinda mellowed out today.) Are you having a good weekend?

Summer will be there! And me! And, er..well, that seems pretty good to me.

Of course you could leave Alex in the car, with the full knowledge that you're inside the lovely shopping centre meeting the beautiful Miss Glau. After an experience like that, doubt he'd ever misbehave again!

Up to you though, hon. You'll do what's right.

(hurrah, my trading cards should be on their way shortly. Made a silly mistake when ordering which has held them up, but hope to have them by Tuesday. Ooh, shiny goodness!).

I say the slumber party starts...NOW and doesn't end till after the movie comes out. We're already in our pajamas and in the sleeping bag, anyway (well, you, I and Cozen are the sleeping bag. And maybe SimonWho. Not sure.)

Was Corpse Bride really just okay? I was looking forward to seeing it, I just didn't have time this weekend. Hmm..maybe now I'll just wait till it comes out on video.
