I was at the Sandy, Utah midnight showing (is this the one you're talking about)? It was a well-run late night schpiel...

...and of course a movie that was so worth every day of a two year wait.

Damn straight.

I rented out a theater here in Houston for a Rice-students only midnight screening, marking my fourth time seeing the film, after two pre-screenings and the Houston press screening. Every time, by the end, my heart's been beating so hard I think most of the people around me could hear it. Utterly fantastic.

Just got back from the midnight showing in Houston and I want more too. I was only a tiny bit disappointed in the movie, mostly because of problems that resulted from it being a movie in the first place. Firefly is clearly much better as a television series. But it was still damn good and I can't wait to see it again tomorrow or the next day.

Glad more and more folks are finally getting to see it. I was lucky enough to catch it early myself, and now folks will be able to converse more about what we've all been waitin' for. This movie has it's .....well, I'll not say anymore. I'll just say that it's ripe for sequel.

I am anxious to see the BDM will fare against Into the Blue & the Babe-o-licious Jessica Alba.

CHEWIE

Just got back from the midnight showing in Seattle... Where I saw the most wonderful and beautiful thing. The BDM of course, but also a theater packed full with browncoats. I talked with people I'd never met before, but by the end felt like I'd known them forever.

But to me the best part was what I saw as the lights came up and the credits rolled... I looked around and there were tears running down faces, smiles, and laughter. I walked out of there feeling like I had just witnessed something great. Some thing so great that it could only be described as 'Serenity'.

Needless to say I'll be at the first showing at the theater near my home in the morning!

Well said, and I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'd feel pretty goofy if I were. But I have to say that in my brief 40 yrs here, I've not experienced anything remotely like this.

Again, thanks Joss.

I didnt feel that. It seemed to tie up too many loose ends. The Book story wont get played out. The reavers have had their run and the alliance aint really the threat they used to be.

It felt funny to me. I liked it plenty dont get me wrong. I'll have to wait and see how I feel after my second viewing.
