The details are thus:

The all-important second weekend of Serenity in theaters fast approaches. We know you are planning on taking everyone you know to the film, and now that dedication can pay off! Send in your Serenity ticket stubs for a chance to win cool Serenity prizes! One lucky winner will get an international Serenity poster signed by Summer, Jewel, Gina, Adam, Nathan, Morena, Sean and Joss, an official Serenity Tshirt and a Serenity Prize Pack (bandana, chopsticks, window cling, mug, patch). Five runners-up will get Serenity Prize Packs. How do you enter? Mail your Serenity ticket stubs dated between Friday October 7 - Sunday October 9 to Serenity Leader, with your name phone number and email address either written on the back of your stub or on an attached sheet of paper. The more ticket stubs you enter, the more chances you will have to win! Remember, the stubs must be dated from Friday October 7 - Sunday October 9 to be entered. All entries must be postmarked by October 11th to be eligible. Winners will be selected by a random drawing. *Sorry, we can only accept ticket stubs from U.S. and Canadian theaters.* Please mail your tickets to:

RAKARR

I actually still have my ticket stub from the 30th. Found it in my pants pocket last night. I believe we've planed (Myself and family) to go see Serenity tomorrow. I've already seen it and want to again. None of my family has though. I don't know if I'll get to see it the 7th-9th. I don't want to watch it alone and well... Well I guess I won't be in this drawing

Funny you should mention that. There is another ticket stub contest which is pre-existing:

http://www.justsayah.com/pages/AHpg7.html

The details:

Go see SERENITY opening weekend, and you could win a free piece of art by Adam Hughes.

Yup. You heard me right. Go see Serenity the weekend of September 30th. Save your ticket stub (to prove you went and that you went opening weekend) and mail it in. Heck; mail in as many as you'd like. Go as often as you want, take as many friends as will give you their stubs. All the stubs we get will be entered into a drawing, and one lucky movie-goer's name will be drawn to win a fully rendered, finished piece of art by Adam.

THE FINE PRINT

The contest is open to fans around the world; but tickets stubs MUST be dated for their countries release date weekend. The dates can be found here. With so many countries, two separate drawing will be held, and two winners will be drawn, each winning a piece of original artwork.

The following countries will be in round one:
UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, USA, Iceland, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy.
These countries have their release dates between August 22 and October 28th. Your tickets need to be mailed in no later than November 7th.

The following countries will be in round two:
Mexico, Sweden, Argentina, Hungary, Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland (German speaking region), Finland, Norway, Turkey, Peru and Taiwan.
These nations all have their release dates between November 11th and December 29th. PLEASE have your ticket stubs in the mail no later than January 7th.

Put your name on the stubs (I don't care how, just don't cover the date) and you can mail in as many as you'd like in a single envelope. In the same envelope, please include a sheet of paper with your full name, mailing address, and email address if you have one. Mail it all to:

Oxy... please delete this post as I am selfishly hoping that no one else will know about it. I mean... because it contains way too many huge spoilers...? Er....

that's a good contest because I didn't want to lose my opening weekend ticket stubs

Yeah, sorry about all those 'spoilers', HK. I was also thinking about keeping this contest on the down-low, but I figured that all Browncoats should have a chance at this and not just those of us who learned about it several weeks ago. At the very least, we will all get a chance to own this beautiful cover when the collection of Serenity comics comes out in a few months.

this is the one 'challenge' I'm not participating in...
I kind of love my collection (growing) of ticket stubs,
and years from now, when I look at my scrapbook,
I know I'll laugh to see how many times I went to see Serenity

I've posted this on a Star Wars forum to get some of them interested in seeing it this weekend, and was going to do the same on a G.I> Joe forum.
