I cant remember if I previously posted this. Sorry if this is a repeat.

In response to people inquiring about the different fan sites and wondering what other message boards there are (in case the main board gets shut down), I was volunteered to make a webring.

For those who dont know: A webring is basically a little snippet of HTML code you post onto your site that automatially links you to all the other sites who have joined the ring. Its totally free. You do not have to download anything. It does not install any unwanted adware or spyware onto your computer.

All you do is click on the link following this message and if you're interested click "Join" on the ring (the shaded box thingy with the two small graphics and links inside). Clicking Join will bring you to a set of guidelines to agree to (not steadfast, if you have issues, please email me at fordgrrrl@yahoo.com) and places to plug in all the necessary info. Then after you do that, you are emailed the "ring code" which is a bit of HTML code that you just copy from your email and paste into whatever you use to edit your site. Then the ring is displayed on your site! It is set up so it takes on the colors of your background and links so it blends in better and isnt as intrusive.

Other advantages? Well since it has a centralized list of the other sites who have joined the ring, it doesnt take up any of your storage space or bandwidth to have all of those links. This is good for people with only a limited amount of space. You do not have to know HTML to use this...all you do is copy and paste.

I still havent given up on my mission to try to connect all Firefly-related sites together. And I'm still not above shameless self promotion!

Oh, and I wonder how I can convince Haken to join. The presence of this place would be a major gain to the ring as a whole! *mostly lurks but still loves this place*
