im new just seen serenity. only seen a few episodes of firefly and going to by it. is there any chance or a new friefly season on scifi because everyone likes it.

Welcome! It's great to have new folk come into the fold.

I think a new season of TV is what most Browncoats would prefer (myself among 'em) But Joss Whedon has all but closed the door on that. What he's looking to do is create 2-3 sequels for the big screen. But here's the deal, kk: for that to happen, Serenity has to make $80 mil worldwide (in ticket sales and DVD sales/rental). If you want to see more of the 'verse, go see the movie again. Tell all your friends to go. Pay their way if necessary. Talk Serenity and do not stop until it goes out of the theaters. Then start talking up the DVD. It's the only way we'll get more.

Welcome to the site & the fanbase! Glad to have you w/ us.

By all means, buy the DVD set. You won't regret it what w/ all the commentaries, extras, & deleted scenes.

We are not sure what the chances are of another series. There is a movie out right now, called "Serenity". Please go & see it. Take family, friends, whoever. We are working toward a target box office # of $80 million. If we hit it, we will get movie sequels, which in my opinion is what we would need in order to have any chance of getting a new series.
