London Ontario Shindig This Weekend!

A Shindig is being put together for this weekend in London, ON. The first one in the area that we know of!

Currently the idea is to see the movie and get together somewhere after the movie to discuss and get to know the other Browncoats in the London area.

We were thinking of Saturday evening.

Is there anyone else here from Ontario in the London, St. Thomas, Woodstock areas?

Even if you can't make it this weekend, it would be great to know how many Browncoats there are in the area.

We have changed the date of the London Shindig to this Sunday (October 9th). Please let us know if you are in the area!

D'oh! I'm going to Thanksgiving dinner at my sister-in-law's in Keswick on Sunday.

My boyfriend and I are both browncoats and live in Kitchener. I totally would have made the trip to London. We saw the movie twice last weekend and we both want to see it again... unfortunately we have dinners every day this weekend.

Love your enemies, your friends could turn out to be a bunch of bastards.

We will be meeting at the Empire Wellington 8 theatre at 983 Wellington Road S. in London for the 6:30pm show on Sunday evening.

After the show we are going to Jack Astor's for drinks, munchies and lots of Firefly talk!

Come and join a few of the London Browncoats and help Serenity during this very important second weekend!!

I'm sure we will have another Shindig in near future. I'm putting together some Firefly/Serenity items for possible doorprizes, etc. for a future event. Most of us who are going met on the canadianbrowncoats.com website. The site admin has been fabulous about sending out swag/promotional items to give out at Shindigs across the country.

Feel free to come and check us out! (we have some Browncoats from the tri-city area)

When we are planning another Shindig I will be sure to post on FFF's because this is the first site most of us were affiliated with.

Have a great weekend & if you get a chance to see Serenity again that would be even better! This is our fifth time seeing it. And as great as it was to see a pre-screening in June and then a press screening 2 months later - there is nothing like sitting in that theatre, surrounded by people who have actually paid to go see your favourite movie of all time!
