Is there a costuming thread that i am missing-- i would really love to work on costumes from the film and the series-- i saw a few at Dragon*Con and was wondering if anyone has tips, screencaps or anything about making the costumes...

on one of the early episodes of THE SIGNAL podcast, they give instructions and ideas on all character costumes. I'd suggest looking there. It's a great podcast, the only podcast in the verse totally devoted to Firefly and Serenity.
