OK so far the 2nd weekend box office numbers don't look encouraging for the posepcts of a Sequel.

Some people are seeing the movie again (I have).

If we are looking at buying extra tickets just to increase the box office.

One idea I had that revolves around this, well actually it's two related ideas.

1. If you are going to buy a movie ticket, give it to some stranger, look for the person looking up at the board at the theater trying to figure out what they want to see.
2. Give that person only ONE ticket, usually people see movies as couples or in larger groups, if you give someone a single movie ticket to Serenity you are doing three things.
a. You are halving the cost of going the movies for that couple.
b. You are doubling the number of tickets that get sold and the amount of box office $ credit Serenity gets for YOUR ticket buying dollar.
c. You are getting 2 more people to see Serenity, where they can enjoy it and tell their friends about it.
[/list]

Unfortuantely I can't do this, I've already spent more on Serenity in the past 8 days than my family has spent on movies for the past two years. But if people are really looking to spend their money just to increase the box iffice $ this seems like the most effective way to do it.

Of course, there is always the possibility that they will return that ticket at the box office and purchase a ticket for another film. Thus, your hard earned cash could go towards financing FLIGHTPLAN 2!

Well it might help of you maybe attach the ticket to a flyer, like the official one or a home made one.

You could explain, either personally or in the flyer that you bought the ticket WITH YOUR OWN MONEY because you want as many people as possible to see the movie.

Hopefully this would cut down on the number of people who might try to exchange the ticket.
