Do you think they know better than to eat each other?

I think the Revers are super aggressive. They more that likely do eat each other under the right conditions. They probably will do all the things they do to regular humans they can just take it. Hell, they like it. When the Serenity flew by we heard screams (and lots of them)from the Rever ships.

I do. A lot of very violent groups have been quite nice, even tender, amongst themselves. I don’t think Reavers are tender, I don’t think they are nice, but I don’t think they eat their own kind. I think they have that kind of restraint, though not that level. I’m not saying they don’t kill each other, but I don’t think they consider it anywhere near as acceptable as killing others, and I don’t think they eat each other live, and I don’t get the impression they eat dead people at all.

Which brings up a big question, what do they eat for sustenance? I don’t think that they can all live off the people they can catch to eat, and in Bushwacked they did not steal the grain that Mal and Zoe thought was so valuable. So what do they eat? Do they actually farm? (It’s not unheard of for very aggressive hunters, but they seem to stay in space.) Do they attack food shipments or supply places?

If Miranda has some kind of automated farming they could go down there when they need to.

I think they really do live off cannibalism alone. It is possible, and also completely gross...I have to stop thinking about reavers.

They probably make jerky out of the people that they drag back to their ships that they don't eat right away. Or maybe they hang them outside the ship to freeze-dry. Would that even work?

REAVERMADNESS

I can see it now...

(In the background you hear Mozarts "Quartet in B flat for Strings; 'Hunt'" playing. The camera starts in on a closeup of a snifter of brandy behind which you see the flickering of candle light. A hand reaches down and picks up the snifter and as it lifts it the camera follows. As the camera pulls back you see two reaver couples - dressed the people were dressed in "Shindig" - sitting around an ornately carved table)

Reaver 1m: "I am so glad you both took the time to come by and see us again. How are the children?"

Reaver 2w: "Why they are growing faster than we can keep up with. Thank you for asking."

Reaver 4w: "Where are they this evening?"

Reaver 2w: "They are staying over with some friends. I think they said they were going to Whitefall for something to eat didn't they dear?"

Reaver 3m: "I believe so; yes. So I see you've been adding to your collection."
(He lifts his hand towards the bookcase in which there are several volumes sitting opened to some exquisite examples of calligraphy.)

Rever 4w: "Oh, don't get him started on his books!"

Reaver 1m: "Now I'm not that bad! Yes. I was able to pickup a couple of rather unique examples of..."
(Alarm goes off. The soft lighting from before is replaced with dark red emergency lights that throw everything into a red/black contrast. A voice comes over the intercomm: "We have a ship in ranger sir.")

Reaver 1m: "Well isn't that always the way; try to sit around and enjoy company..."

Reaver 2w: "It's alright. It happens to us all the time."

Reaver 1m: "Right then. I'll make this quick and then we can see what I can whip up for supper."

No, no... wait. They work in the future "what's in your wallet" commercials.

I hear they're remarkably good at tennis! :D And that Geico is so easy, even a Reaver could do it!

NERVOUSPETE

They all practice on the descendent of the Ned Beatty character from Deliverance, who, I am reliably informed, "Squeals like a pig."

DRROB

Reaver Job Skills:

Sewing human skin
preparing human flesh (you can't imagine someone with a detailed knowledge of sewing human flesh from complicated so-fro patterns would eat it raw)
preserving human flesh (see bushwhacked)
spaceship repair/design
weapons design/repair
broadcast journalism (where were the "Reaver's signals" coming from and who was broadcasting them?)
interior/exterior/fashion design (those reavers, like Raiders fans have a distinct look about them)
tracking (Reavers seem to know just where to go at the right time... even when there are easier targets elsewhere)
rapelling (a good reaver knows the ropes)

Skills reavers don't need: tactics, hygene, dentistry, marksmanship, medicine

Did I miss anything?

"Guess you broke into the wrong rec room."
