The non-US figures are adding about $6.1m to the box office, and the UK provided about $3.9m of that. Not bad considering that covers just the first 10 days.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the rankings for the UK box office this week. I think Wallace & Gromit will knock us down (went to see the movie tonight, not really that good but I guess Americans might like the "British" humour) but I think Serenity has a good chance at staying in the top 3 in its second week here. Lots of money would be good too :)

And don't forget, it still hasn't been released in France, Spain, Italy... (most of Europe in fact), and the East. Just as a quick pointer, "The Island" made over 70% of its' box office money outside the US.

America loves a winner!

I took a break after the first full week. Think I'll take some folks this week, and see it another time or 2.

I read today that total is 71% of the original budget.

We can still make it - I've campaigned with my friends in Argentina (where it opens in about a month of so). They're enthused (they're also translators like me, so they got to see the English version of the 9 minute thingy). They will go.
