I'm new to Firefly and literally the moment after I saw Serenity for the first time opening night I went out and bought the series Firefly.. lol.. and my question is that if they continue the show or make more movies will Simon and River still be considered fugitives?

IMO, it may not be a good idea for those two to be parading around on Alliance planets, but they may not be in as much danger now as they were before. Mayhap they could leave the ship more often, which I would love. I'm writing a post-movie fanfic and that's how I've treated it.

This must be what going mad feels like.

Being as they can still use River as a weapon, i'm sure they'd still want her. I'm sure they wouldn't have anything against punishing them either. So they'd still be in danger. But to a lesser extent maybe.
