During my third viewing of the BDM, I thought I spotted a typo. In my subsequent two viewings, I have confirmed it.

After the scene in the Maidenhead, when the Operative is watching the security feed and then zooms in on Mal and calls up info on him, there's a brief moment when you see a fairly wide shot of the screen the Operative is viewing with Mal's info and picture. On that screen, Mal's name is spelled "Malcom" (missing the second "l").

On the next screen, which is a bit more of a close-up, his name is spelled correctly - "Malcolm"

Watch for it! And let me know if I'm just seeing things.

Anyone spot any other boo-boos?

Yeah - in the final scene where the remaining crew is trying to hold off the Reavers, Inara's bow and arrow was replaced in post-production with a cg gun. Well apparently they didn't quite replace everything. There are a few moments where they show Inara and it remains a bow and arrow. I know the gun resembles a bow and arrow (sort of), but trust me, it's still in there.

Still, not as bad as the boom mike in "Green Mile".

***Never judge a book by its movie***

Hence my joke with the missus about the things Inara left behind.

Just some sundries, I imagine. Maybe a bow and arrow. Or maybe a high tech crossbow, I'm sure.

Not as bad as the incredibly important tunnel crash scene in Robin Williams' "What Dreams May Come". Watch the left side of the screen. As the camera zooms down the tunnel the camerman must have noticed his huge honking shadow, so the camera shifts to the right. The director must have noticed that, cause the camera then shifts to the left and the shadow comes back. The rest of the freakin' movie is CGI, I mean it's a living painting! Why couldn't they get rid of one shadow in one of the biggest scenes in the movie?

I've *got* to get my "What Dreams May Come" DVD back from whoever has it and check that out! Now if I can just remember who I loaned it too...
