The first time I heard it, I immediately thought of Mal and Inara (after Inara left the ship). It's like Mal is talking to Inara.

Now only if we had the scene of Mal and Inara holding each other after they found out about how the Reavers were made. Hopefully it'll be on the DVD extras.
