Bought a ticket for Serenity today and did not use it.

I drive too far to/from work and there is not enough time
to even see Serenity without having to drive 1 more hour
to the theater on weekdays. Whoops, I should have been
asleep an hour ago. I am afraid it will totally disappear from
even the two-hour away theater on Friday. There is no listings
past Thursday on fandango for my area.

So, I went on fandango and bought a ticket for Serenity anyways.

I am going to do that tomorrow too.

I was thinking about doing this too .. do the ticket's that aren't retrieved still count since they aren't being picked up by the machine at the box office. I guess it wouldn't make a difference, but thought i'd check

Did that last Thursday, and been meaning to do it once a day, but haven't.

Got the ticket, walked in, the ticket-taker ripped off her part, walked out and finished my errands. But, like a dumb-ass, I just got a matinee ticket.

Forgive me. It won't happen again.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I have done this twice. I have also bought tickets & given them to people @ the theatre who were trying to decide what to see.

I read some of the FANDANGO help stuff a bit and it talked about how you have to get a refund from the theater and how the seat bought is taken out of the inventory of the theater and cannot be sold to anyone else.

Success!!

Okay, I really do not know if it made any difference and the theater owner just noticed that Serenity was not playing anywhere nearby and decided to play it four times starting Friday and next week.

It was only playing two times this week and I had to drive even further to see it at the time I wanted Sunday.

But yesterday, it was no where in the area on Friday and today it is playing four times a day starting Friday until November 3rd at the theater that I bought a Fandango ticket for Serenity and did not use it.

Okay, maybe the info hadn't been updated yet.

Maybe the theater owner is a fan.

Or maybe the theater owner noticed a Fandango ticket without a person showing up to claim it and thought twice.

I do not know. Yeah!. I get to see Serenity two more times this weekend.

I bought another ticket today through Fandango at another theater...

Bought two non-matinee tickets today. They don't take anything away from it if you don't actually get to the ticket-taker, right?
