A Question---and some comments

Greetings Firefliers,

There are a few things I'd like to post about, but I will get to my question first-- :)

I am new to this site and to FF, so please pardon my newbyness if these things have been answered elsewhere....

I have created and remixed 2 music pieces (the first one is roughly 24 minutes in length and 1 that is just under 17 minutes--i know its a long song, but anything less for such a genius show/movie is unacceptable to me.)
I was hoping there might be a way to upload them to the site for other fellow fliers to download and listen to. They're compiled with techno and metal, with a touch of classical style movie music (not from Serenity) with added voice-overs from the TV Show. The Second song is a tribute to the kick-ass movie Serenity--but until I can get wavs from the flick, I cant complete the song. The first one however, is quite finished and I am hoping to share it with everyone. So, how would I go about finding out about this? Please email me and let me know. aerylonblackwolf@gmail.com

The Universe that Mr. Whedon created has a lot more potential on the silver screen and the small screen, that it gives me a headache to think of all the different things that could be done. How many spinoffs could have been created had it not been cancelled? The characterization of each character is/was outstanding, not to mention how well the characters mesh with one another. I've not seen any show on TV like it, except for Classic trek, but even then the chemistry outdoes even that. The only show that even comes close is Stargate SG-1, and that isn't even in the same type category.

I have to admit the editing, along with the real-life feel when they show space shots ( meaning--its quiet in space--something Trek could've used, the characters chemistry, the Universe they reside in, and the Ship all make for one hell of storyline. I've read a few posts here, and I have to agree that watching the show on DVD which I now own, seeing as I didn't even know it existed before SCI-Fi started airing it, only thing left now is the soundtrack--(can't wait to remix some of it LOL)I watched all 14 episodes back-to-back, and I am hoping that Sci-fi will contract for a new FF season (season 2? or a whole new season 1?) and they keep it going as long as, or more so than SG-1. If it is given the chance, it can blossom into one hell of a show.

Anyway, to Joss----Great writing, great characters, great storylines--(not one episode that I didn't like--which is rare), so as a fellow writer, my hat's off to you and the cast and crew of both firefly and Serenity. Make more movies....please.

Oh and, more TV. The only thing that urked me beyond all other things was there was no more to watch. The way it ended left me wanting a hel of a lot more. We all know you have the scripts. Perhaps Sci-fi channel will carry them? Can you imagine the crew of Serenity finding a Stargate? That would be----strange. Fun, but Strange. lol (wishful thinking I know--but if they can do Freddy VS Jason, and AvP, who knows--- LOLOL)

If they do, replacements for Book and Wash (why they were killed is beyond me---(contractual things probably)---A moral voice for this crew is badly needed from a point-of-view somewhat similar to Book's POV, as in a Shepard, or a Preacher--perhaps a preacher who can fight? (Old Kung-Fu theatre style horror movie comes to mind with an Irish Priest kicking zombie ass while saying "I kick ass for the lord" lol. I think something like that would be great.

As far as a pilot, thats a bit harder because of his wife. But, River is smart enough to do it, but not trained. Even though Aliens don't exist in the universe ( that we know of), perhaps Serenity could fall upon an Alien world/vessel, and somehow end up with a humanoid pilot? One who can fly better than any human? Hmm---because his race is connected to the Cosmos perhaps? lol Just a thought.

Anyway---its good to find folks out there that want more FF like me. I kinda felt stupid at first, especially after watching them back-to-back twice in a row! lol.
