LOL, Piffle, that's one of the best initiations so far, welldone PR, welldone Piffle, Kudos!

Oh, I came up with a little ditty for trolls:

He's a Troll and he's okay,
He Trolls all night and he Trolls all day,

He's got no friends, he wears high heels,
suspendies and a bra!

He's frustrated he couldn't be a girly, just like his dear momma!

Ammused me...

Okay, well that gave me an idea for Ballad's initiation:

Take Shakespeare's St. Crispin's Day speech (excerpt below), translate it into Chinese here:
http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en

and then translate it back into english and then post the translation onto three random threads. Tell no one why you are posting. Instead, title your posts with this:

"I translated this famous speech into chinese and back. Can you guess what it is?"

Then, post the links back here.

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day

I lived in a neighborhood where they had to build hills around it to keep the bullets from going in the road. Does that count?

As for the initiation: I'm on it! (as soon as I shower)OH! Wait, question. Should I create NEW threads or post in like...one of the "We Hate xxxx'S Death" threads...as for example

We need a list of who's official and who's not because I can't keep track of everyone. It's confusing.................................

I spy with my little eye:
Emma of course, SerenityPunk, Relfexive, PR, Fray, Spinland, SpiritGal, CMS, Citizen
and newly:
Casualty (nice ruggers), Mai, EB, N0S

other initiations I missed?
Smaug S/FF riddle? if I missed proof of hijack, please nudge me.

I also heaard Ash called, but I didn't see him here. Unless he has changed his name to protect the innocent Serenity.
...........................

Random Mutiple Initiations oh my!
"LIM" is fine for me. Real name also answerable to is Barb Babs or make up something else. [chocolate.gif]

I'll be happy to write a story and will find some Wierd ass threads to post it in. Who did I miss with the 'nitiation list above?

Will add to that list:
PIFFLE
and BALLAD

CMS: I was thinking ATH when I read Ash

REL: My Mac went kablooey for a couple hours yesterday, and that never happens. Feel your pain and the standing around.

CIT: [edited for sickness] when sick! Causality Bandersnatch!!

PIF: funny funny DP crashing of thread!

BALLAD: Here's my eeeeerie ass funny...
Been gone all day. Didn't find the random right off because it somehow blew up?? Wandering in favorite movies, I read your post of favs, including the thought that there should be a thread for 5 greatest inspirational quotes, and separate threads for movie genres. Next, read thread by Chris, where your double mirror Chinese translation is posted, and wrote I want this thread of quotes to happen. Next here to Cloud Cukoo Land OMG! my profile! and here I am. And I'm laughing so hard at this 'nitiation that I fell over, there is pain and the possibility of damage!
Eeeeerie ass with a Scot's accent in the best possible way!

Write for us, please, a story of no less than 50 words, with the title "The Random Elves of Chocolate Land." Post said faerie tale in at least 3 random threads (excluding the Secret Hidey Hole of the Nice Boys and any thread with the word "Serenity" in its title). Post links to threads here.

Couldn't sleep once the story popped into my head, so here it is.

"The Random Elves of Chocolate Land" (apogees to Doug)

The elves of Pixietex were transported to the Land of Chocolate by way of a freak website accident when each of them simultaneously pushed "post my reply" on a reply containing the word "chocolate".

The speed of light was brought into play by this seemingly random act (photons being notoriously mischievous and slippery fellows), when the resulting combination of 1s and 0s dialed the unpublished cell phone number of the local deity. Always a fan of any joke with the punchline "chaos", it created The Land of Chocolate in the twinkling of its eye.

Hi all, still off work, but feel slightly better now...

That is until I recieved a summons in the mail...
For not paying my council tax for a house I wasn't living in...
In a city I haven't been too for nearly two years...

Apparently my ex-landlord want's me to pay the council tax for the Illegal immigrants he smuggled into the country...
At least I can't think of another reason why he didn't get the troop of non-english speaking women who damn near had a heart attack when I walked through the front door of the house I was supposed to be living at to pay said council tax.

I'm most upset. I may murder him.
Unless anyone can come up with a more poetic, fitting and long lasting punishment that doesn't involve me killing someone (don't really want to, even if their immoral ) and won't get me locked up...

Anyway...
Great Initiations one and all...
V. Good.

Stay good Sean! Stay good!

Yep, I've definitely been reading too much Sluggy Freelance. Very funny online comic, found here:

www.sluggy.com

Start at the beginning. Truuuust me.

Anyway,

Sean, killing your ex landlord with an axe will just cause more problems. And it's very messy. It seems to me that your best bet is to either kill him in a way that makes it look like an accident or seek some sort of judicial justice. Can you go to the county courthouse or something? Dunno how things work over there, what with your crazy parliments and whatnot.

And this on top of being sick. Poor you!

Lim, Barb, whomever-very well done. Good for you!

Ballad-ditto. Great job!!! It was a very funny translation, was it not? I'm glad you had so much fun with it!

DreamTrove-Hello! I've seen you around a few threads. You are welcome to the Randomness. But you must be warned-to become an official Member of Team Random, you must complete an initiation task. We will set you one, if you like.

I've paid the Tax plus costs, but I'm getting my damned money back, then I'll think of ways of getting my revenge. Ruining his lively hood comes to mind. Or feeding him to pigs...
Both the same really.

As for sluggy, I wonder if I can summon satan on to his computer...

Citizen, just rat his butt out... unless thats not how it works over there. I wouldn't put up with that. But you don't seem to want to anyways, lol

And for my own run ins with the law. My moms got a letter in the mail (for me of course, but since im here in guam..)its a summons for a hearing... for a ticket i got Feb 12 of 04. but this ticket i had alrdy gone and seen the prosocutor and was like "Hey, i'm going ot basic, i can't lose my license from this ticket" and he's all like "Ok you have a *can't think of the word he used* fine, you don't gotta pay but if you get another ticket in the next year it'll come back and you'll get the points on your license and have to pay the fine". So i'm thinking fine, i wont' even have a car for the next year (i was broke see). So they tryed to make me come to a hearing for a ticket I got over a year ago... sooo stooopid *sigh*

I never understand the 2-headedness of your laws: there's squatting, and stuff like this, and then there's guilty until proven innocent. Oh, so be careful with that axe. And with the sack of [edited for sickness] you were going to light on fire at his doorstep.

What do you mean about squatting?
Our laws are fairly simple. Just like anyone elses, your rich your assumed to be right, and property law is more strongly inforced than crimes against people.
Sure murders bad but some people imbezzel!!!

It just goes on and on and on. What should be a simple 3 minute conversation turns into 15 minutes of my time trying to translate what the guy is saying into something resembling English.

Oh, and hi QueenoftheNorth.

We're a friendly tribe, if a bit strange.

But if you would like to join us you must first do an initiation.

And here we see the almost mythical Randomites. They travel in groups from thread to thread, and have a rich, chocolate based culture.
They can often be found with tribes of Monkey Ninja's the purpose of this interdependence is still unknown.

Here we see a Randomite preparing the evening meal by mixing Vodka and chocolate in to the Randomite staple diet of RandersMilk.

Here we see a rare occurance... it appears that one of the Randomites has discovered a Vodka filled chocolate Alan growing nearby, lets watch and see what happens...

Wow!! I am SOOO glad I know that now.

*raises hand*

Didn't understand a word of it. Well, I got the "the"s and "it"s, but the rest of it: gibberish.

Shaun of the Dead was the only zombie movie that I really really liked. Most of them are so obvious and not very funny.

I think I can make out their primitive language --
lol just kidding.

Vodka -- didn't think of that. Nothing like a shot of Polar Ice.

Anyways, I would like to be initiated as long as it doesn't involve translations. I'm not so good with the putting together of the words in English, let alone a foreign language. So anyway, fire away!

Pain. Lots of pain.

Well, I'm glad you're feeling better. I haven't been home since Sunday, so I'm looking forward to it tonight. Course, I'll get over that 30 minutes after I get in the door.
