Equilibrium was great, although not great enough to be in my top ten...

1) Serenity
2) Blade Runner
3) Star Trek TMP
4) Superman TM
5) Legend
6) Back to the Future movies
7) Star Wars original trillogy
8) Indy's movies
9) Army of Darkness
10) Aliens

They change with the wind, but that's it this week. Honourable mention to Matrix, Mummy Returns, Die Hards, Batman, Spider-man, Desperado, Somewhere In Time, The Road Home (objectivly, the BEST movie ever made), Who Am I, Legend of the Drunken Master, 2002, Abyss, Terminator 1+2, Demolition Man, geeze, I could go on, and on...

Yeah, I've seen all the Inuyasha episodes there are. I got impatient and downloaded them all in subbed Japanese :). Unfortunately, Inuyasha, like Firefly, is cut short before its time. Still excellent though. And the Band of Seven episodes are some of my favorite. Also, Swords of an Honorable Ruler is a very good movie. And I agree with you about the epilogue in Inuyasha 2. That was so unnecessary and spoiled the whole kiss that finally happens. Sigh. Oh well. Still a great movie.

P.S. There is zero reference to Naraku, the Shikon Jewel, or anything like that in Swords of an Honorable Ruler. Which really surprised me.

He works some as an architectural photographer, so some of his stuff is mostly for the gloss, but oh, the underlying social commentary he has such a hard time muffling! He has 3 spectacular books:
Havana (fab pics of a ruined Havana)
Pripyat and the Zones of Exclusion (the Ukraine, Chernoble, nowish)
and a brand new one, pictures of cities, with rabid SC ravings.

"The Random Elves of Chocolate Land" (apogees to Doug)

The elves of Pixietex were transported to the Land of Chocolate by way of a freak website accident when each of them simultaneously pushed "post my reply" on a reply containing the word "chocolate".

The speed of light was brought into play by this seemingly random act (photons being notoriously mischievous and slippery fellows), when the resulting combination of 1s and 0s dialed the unpublished cell phone number of the local deity. Always a fan of any joke with the punchline "chaos", it created The Land of Chocolate in the twinkling of its eye.
