Okay, I have been thinking abut doing up a serenity/firefly version of risk with Geekmafia (just to play, not to sell) and thanks to a kick ass map of the verse posted by GreenFaerie ( http://www.fireflyfans.net/sunroomitem.asp?i=5624) it looks like it might finally happen

we have one last problem however, we need four teams for a proper game of risk.you can play as two or three but its just not the same. We have been looking over it and we just cant decide who to use.
we dont care to much about timelines so we can have say, browncoats and reavers, but i was wondering what people think we should use and whether they can think of any other possible teams.
so far we have; Browncoats, The Alliance, Reavers, Outlaws, Blue Sun, Companions(why not), shepards(again why not), bounty hunters.
Again, we need 4 teams and realistically companions and shepards probably won't make the final cut. We kind of want to use blue sun but we aren't sure where Joss Whedon wants to take them in future movies/series/comics/books (hoping

).i havnt read the comics so if there is something in them you tink I should know please tell me.

I would play a Battlefield2 full conversion of the independent planets/alliance war. All we need is someone to do it, and my skills are limited at the moment

"Border Goons" (An overarching category for Niska, Rance Burgress, Patience, etc. Don't think of them as a unified entity, but that each time they expand, it's one of those individuals taking over somewhere new. If you use a commander system they could have an advantage with the number/ease of getting commanders, maybe. Or not).

Border goons is a nice one, (name not withstanding). We havnt decided fully whether or not to give the various teams different abilities yet though. For example the reavers could be able to convert a few troops left in an bordering system every few turns, the alliance could start off with more troops, etc.
it might make the game better or just more complicated, and it would be more work...

I like the battlefield 2 idea. i dont have those kind of skills but if anyone is good at creating battlefield mods, a firefly one would be pretty cool. On a more ambitious note, if there happen to be any of the 'EVE online' developers on this site, or someone with a copy of the eve engine, a talented games ddesign team and alot of free time on their hands, I for one would definately pay to play in the verse....
