Do any of you know if Firefly will continue to run on SciFi Channel, despite the "series finale" airing today? (I.E., will they continue to repeat the episodes, either linearly or out of order or otherwise?) I have the DVDs, of course, but I also enjoy the experience of catching it on the 'tube.

yes, Sci fi had announced that they would start rerunning the series over again from the beginning...I think starting next Friday...

I'm so glad they are doing this, I love watching (even tho I have the DVDs) and I think it is finding new fans....

Cool. Thanks!

And I agree; there's something about seeing it on TV, knowing that other browncoats (and potentially new converts!) are out there watching along too....

I know it is finding new fans! I've had customers tell me that they caught it on SciFi and hadn't even known about it before and they were going to start watching it. We have a delivery guy that comes around every Thursday too, and he asked me about it being on tonight...
he is a new watcher as well.

Thanks to SciFi for showing it somemore too, I didn't know they were going to repeat it again.
Oh, joy!!

A happy Browncoat am I!

Hey!I can 100% agree with you. I'm a new Firefly Fan too, and I've never gotten this into anything this fast. I'm trying to memorize the DVD's to feed my obsession until Serenity on 12/20/2005. I pity the poor Fox exec. that wakes up everyday knowing that they let this great show go.Joss is the man for hanging in there for us fans. Looking forward to more from Serenity and her crew.Serenity 2 anyone?
PS-Can anybody tell me how to get the pic by my name?

Y'know, as someone who first visited this site while the show was still on the air, and started seriously interacting on it about ten minutes after I got the box set two years ago, I've got to say how tickled I am at all the new folk popping up here. Welcome to the family.

Glad to here that the Sci-Fi channel reruns are so effective a, ahem, recruiting tool. Lightning strikes like the original box set release, the Big Damn Movie (AKA the BDM) and the upcoming DVD release are always good for bringing in new masses in truck-bed lots, but for dependable slow-but-steady growth, there ain't nothin' like letting the show advertise herself.

I became a fan through word-of-mouth. A friend recommended that we go see the BDM, and I had read a few really good reviews online.

Better late then never.
