I can. Over at gotfuturama.com, they had announced a while back that due to FUTURAMA's own success with it's DVD's and it's reruns on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, that the are in talks of resurrecting the show as three direct-to-video dvd's. No contracts have been signed, but it is on the up and up.

Here's a segment from an interview by Bill Morrison, who was the art designer on the show.

Question:-According to various rumours and Matt Groening's and Billy West's words, Futurama may come back in form of DVD movie/s. Do you know something about it? Is there hope for a comeback of the TV show? Is there a real reason behind Futurama's cancellation?

Bill Morrison: It's definitely in the works, though I'm not sure if they've actually inked the deal yet. If they do the DVDs and they are successful (buy multiples!!), I think the show has a real shot for a comeback. Everyone who worked on it is anxious to see this happen. It was a great experience, and one we'd like to repeat. Basically, Futurama was cancelled because there was nobody at Fox at the time who cared enough about it to give it the proper time slot. Things have since changed, and the people who exist there now are quite fond of it, I'm told.

So for all FUTURAMA fans out there (myself included), this is some more good news, everyone.

I always thought that FUTURAMA and FIREFLY had som much in common, right down to the characters. Fry is essentially a cartoon version of Wash, Bender and Jayne would make a great crime duo, Amy and Kaylee would be best friends right away and it would be funny as hell to see Simon get a routine check-up by Dr. Zoidberg.

KAZZAHDRANE

Just so you all know, the page is a HOAX. It also used to contain a plot synopsis about the head of H.G.Wells. This was also a HOAX.

It was dreamt up by a guy at the PEEL forums who wanted to prove that imdb will post any rumour as fact if they think they can claim they had the first word about it.

That page is a hoax.

However, I'm very hopeful for more Futurama, especially after reading the interview with Morrison this morning.

Nice to see some fellow Futurana fans here :)
