Browncoats Against Hunger

The SoCal Browncoats are hosting a food and fund drive to benefit the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank http://www.lafoodbank.org/ at FLANVENTION December 9th – 11th 2005

There are many ways you can get involved, from financial and goods donations to volunteering at our table for the weekend. For every $1 or single non-perishable item you donate you will receive one raffle ticket for our shiny prize raffle and secure credit card donations can be made online. We have many shiny prizes and the grand prize is an official Australian movie poster signed by Joss and seven cast members generously donated by Universal! We would gladly accept more prize donations so if you have an item you would like to donate please contact us at SoCalBrowncoats-owner@yahoogroups.com

Paypal donations can be sent to firefly_lynn@yahoo.com.

Keep in mind that Paypal charges a fee for receiving money (2.9% plus .30 for domestic). All donations received, minus the Paypal fees (which Paypal deducts at the time of receipt) will be donated to the Foodbank. If you feel so inclined you can add some change to cover the Paypal fees (e.g. on $10 U.S. the fee is .59) but it's not necessary.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated, in the first 24 hours after launching the website we had already received $250!!!

We're a little behind on the website, which is why we're trying to get as much info into the posts here. If the lot is on the website, use that lot #. If it's not on the web site, but is listed here, then use a short description (action figure lot, Firefly CD lot, etc.) Just so everyone knows, only Lynn(UKGirl2000 on the UB) and I(DanRegal) will announce prize lots. And they are announced only after they are in hand, or confirmed for delivery before Sunday, Dec 11th.

If you previously sent in your ticket selections and want to make a change, send an email through the link on the website with all your info and the changes you want made.

You can also use that email if you have any questions.

This is the last Lot# that will be added. We're not sure if it will make it up on the website but this is a valid Lot# so you can use it if you'd like to try for that prize.

Anything we receive from now on will be drawn from all remaining tickets after the grand prizes have been drawn. We have a couple of things that have been offered to us including an offer from a certain Captain and there's a possibility we might be seeing double!
