CALLMESERENITY

Tomorrow's Thanksgiving here in the US, where we all get to take a moment to remember all the things we have to be thankful for. In between eating way too much and watching football.

So, I thought we could take a moment and talk about what we're thankful for. And since it's my idea, I'll start.

This year, I'm thankful for all the wonderful friends I've made here on fireflyfans.net. You all are the best!

I'm thankful for our Big Damn Movie! (and that it's coming to DVD before Christmas)

And I'm thankful for my job, because being unemployed and/or working temp jobs stinks.

Your turn!

Serenity, First Officer of Destiny

Good post

I'll just say I'm thankful for my friends and family, and that things continue to get better each year.

I'm thankful for this site, and all the wonderful people I've met here. You all rock! Browncoats are the best kind of people. Thankful for our BDM and that our BDH's are so kind as to want to do more of it.

I'm thankful that we still live in what could be considered (For now) the greatest country in the world.

I'm thankful for the fact that the @$$hole in the White House and his butt buddies havent quite run this country into the ground.

I'm thankful for the fact that there are some people in the international community that know the difference between our government the Americans who want thing to change.

I'm thankful that the @$$hole in the White House and his butt buddies only have a couple of years left to do their damage to us and the world.

I'm thankful that I am not one of the apathetic self absorbed jerks here in the U.S. that refuses to sit up and take notice of whats going on.

I'm thankful that I am self employed as I'm not at the mercy of a group of Corporate America upper managers who dont care about ruining the lives of thousands of people just to improve their bottom line and line their own pockets.

I'm thankful for a military comprised of loyal people who while they have the unfortunate task of following the orders of a lying, conniving, nutjob are just as American as I am. I support them, NOT the so-called war.

I'm thankful that (for now) I am still able to speak my mind like this, without fear of repurcussion.

"My days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle."

I'm thankful for my wife, without her I would be adrift in a sea of self-absorbed nonsense.

I'm thankful for my son, the craziest six year old there ever was.

And for discovering Firefly early this year, and by extention, FFF, Buffy and the BDM.
To all my fellow Browncoats here: Thanks for the great conversation and thoughtfullness (Even on the RWE!).

Happy Turkey Day!
(Or, happy Turkey-shaped Pizza Day, for my vegetarian brothers and sisters )

I'm thankful for (not in any particular order):

Family (that they're not totally crazy and they love me)
Friends (that they are totally crazy and they love me)
My pets (they think I'm totally crazy but still love me)
My job (that they haven't realized I'm totally crazy - that I have one and I even mostly like it)
My house(that just looks like I could be crazy - but at least I have a safe place to live)
My ravishing good looks, mensa intelligence, incredible body, loads of cash...oh wait that's not me...thinking of someone else! OK - how about my health? That's good. I'm definately thankful for that.
Joss Whedon- because I love how great and crazy and smart and funny and talented he is and that he brought me Buffy, Angel & Firefly and the BDM!(which is why so many above think I'm crazy) - STAY CRUNCHY - EVEN IN MILK!
NATHAN, NATHAN, NATHAN leather kilts...sigh...
This board - All of you are so nice and make me realize I'm not the only crazy one who loves this stuff!
A lot of other things Too many to list - which I'm also grateful & thankful that there are so many good things for me to be thankful for.

I'd also like to take a moment to say - I'm thankful that I haven't had any major natural disasters to deal with this year, but I keep those who have suffered near to my heart. Don't forget them this season as they continue to rebuild their lives - on whatever part of the planet they live on.

Be well all...

I'm thankful that I live, in Firefly terms, on Ariel, not on Whitefall. Also, that my family is like Serenity, not like the Tams. That about covers most of it.

PSYCHOTICBRIDE

Mm, I'm thankful for my wonderful boyfriend who understands me like no other.

I'm thankful for my family and the relative normalcy we have, as compared to other families.

I'm thankful for my second family- my expansive circle of friends.

I'm thankful for my middle-class home in my quiet rural community. Peace and natural beauty and no crime rate to speak of.

I'm thankful to have found peace with myself, to have found spirituality, and to have learned to laugh at the world and myself instead of being miserable all the time like I used to.

I'm thankful for the education and experience I recieved at my little private hippy elementary school, because without it I would never have grown up to be the same person.

I'm thankful for my mind, as demented as it is, for it's creative ingenuity and quick learning skills- I'm trying to learn not to feel guilty about it.

I'm thankful for the music I'm surrounded by every day.

I'm thankful for my dog, my best friend, and the one who's always happy to see me no matter what.

I'm thankful for the Humane Society and the work they do and thankful for being able to work for them.

I'm thankful for the entertainment and inspiration provided to us by Joss and our BDH's. Yes, I am thankful to have found Serenity. And oh, how thankful I am that no one can take the sky from me- from us.

Happy Thanksgiving, Browncoats.

Well, Family, friends, I'm employed in a decent job with good wages, have a house, cool quasi friends/compatriots on fireflyfans.net, and most of all I am thankfull for hte fact our Big Damn Heros got onto the big screen to shine, if only for a little while. We done the impossible and that makes us mighty. Now lets get to work on getting the sequal made.

NCBROWNCOAT

My wonderful teemage daugher who introduced me first to Serenity and then to the whole Firefly 'verse and has shared it with me since I discovered it about 6 weeks ago.

My Mom who puts up with me.

My coworkers who put up with my off key signing-lately it's been the Firefly song.

The Browncoats here.

The whole cast of Firefly/Serentiy. You have given me a lot of enjoyment and especially Nathan and his tightpants. You have made a middle aged woman drool.
