Episode ideas?

I don't know if this topic has been brought up before or not, but I was wondering:

Should Firefly ever return with new episodes (and I'm literally praying that it does), are there any ideas you think could work and/or be cool to see for the series?

For instance, guest stars kinda' up the ratings and get people to sit through shows they may not normally watch, and I've been thinking this might be a cool thing if implemented properly in Firefly. I'm not saying a guest star should be in an episode every week...just every-so-often, and one celebrity instantly comes to mind for me:

David Allen Coe

This guy is a living legend, and for some reason I think he could make an awesome character on the show...only if he popped up every once in a while. His part? Jayne's father.

There could be a little angst in there for starters; "Why'd you leave mom?!" "You wouldn't un'erstand boy..." but then he'd eventually come around to being a cool character that knows the ropes...kind of a rough around the edges and less talkative Shepherd Book. He'd basically have some good lines where appropriate, shoot some people, then take his leave by the end of the episode. I think if he were to pop in occasionally, you'd have people tuning in to see the show whether they're familiar with it or not...then maybe hook them into keeping on watching.

I don't know...maybe I've got too much time to daydream this stuff.

Does anybody else have what they consider a semi-bright idea if the show ever comes back on TV? If nothing else, it might be fun to discuss.
