I've been around for a while now. I just saw Firefly for the 146th time and I was totally blown away! How could Fox cancel such a brilliant show!? Will there be any new seasons coming soon?

I know there are lots of people that have thought the same thing and have already discussed this to death, but I thought I'd start a new thread on it anyway, because why should only the new members have all the fun of starting threads asking the same questions?

Well, actually, I kind of enjoy reading the posts by new Browncoats, even if there is a bit of, well, predictability about them.

It reminds me of the joy I felt on first discovering Firefly (I was lucky enough to see many episodes first-run). And I certainly understand the need to share that feeling with other fans, and vent the frustration over the series' cancellation.

Plus, those newbie posts give us all a chance to welcome new members of our community.

Maybe what's really needed is a permanent place on this site -- a Firefly FAQ that briefly covers the show's history, Fox's mishandling and boneheadedness, the "Serenity" resurrection, future prospects, and a set of links to further Firefly information and goodies. That would make it easier to welcome the newcomers. Just include a link to the FAQ and say, "This should answer some of your questions" along with your welcome.

I was lurking for about two years before that, so in a way I do consider myself an old member, even if lurking isn't "official". I guess I should rather say I'm an old member of the general Browncoat community. Some people made some unjustified criticisms about the movie and that finally forced me out of hiding.

To Doncoat: I also enjoy reading some of the new members' posts, but very often there seems to be a pattern to those posts, which I was trying to spoof.
